I woke up to see…….huh? Trees?
Okay, I was outside. And it was cold. And of course, I didn’t wear warm clothes. What should I do now? Where the hell was I?
The trees didn’t look normal. They looked like they were drawn. It looked like I was in some kind of animated world.
I tried to sit normal, but then I saw that my leg was hurt badly. Damn, how should I get help this way?
I remembered something from before I was sent to this place.
The door opened and revealed a man. He was older than me, I guess 20 years old or something. He wore a dark green jacket with a blue long sleeve shirt and blue pants under it. He also wore a kind of bandana thing around his forehead.
“Who are you?” I asked suspiciously. I didn’t recognize this person and it made me scared that he was here.
“It’s none of your concern. I am here to send you to another place. Another world.” He said, while walking towards me.
What the hell was he talking about? Another world? He must have been a crazy person who wants to plunder my house.
I flinched at his movement.
“What are you talking about? Another world? And why must you send me there?” I asked the man.
“If you’re going to send me somewhere, I want to know why.” I continued.
The man sighed. But seriously, what was wrong with him?
And….another world? Does that even exist?
“You are meant to be in that world. This world is an illusion. It isn’t real. You have to get back to the real world. It’s your destiny.”
Yep, that’s what he said. He seriously said that this world wasn’t real. But….I’ve lived in this world for twelve years, how could it possible be fake?
“What proof do you have? How am I supposed to believe you?” I asked.
The man had an annoyed look on his face. He then grabbed my arm.
“Just….shut up and come with me.” He mumbled.
“HA! You don’t have any proof, do you?”
“Wait and see. We are going back to the real world.”
He then did something weird. He made some kind of…..signs?......with his hands and the room began to light up. The light blinded my eyes so I covered them with my arm.
A mirror-like thingy appeared in the air once the bright light was gone.
The man stepped into the mirror, still holding my hand.
“Dude, I’m NOT going in there!” I yelled at him.
“You have to. You are going back.” He said back, still very calm.
“No! What about my friends? I have a lot of friends here, I’m not going to leave them behind! And what about my family? They’ll be worried like hell!”
“Well, that doesn’t concern me. And as far as I know, you don’t have a family. You have foster parents. And your friends….well….they can live without you, since this world isn’t real.” He said, shrugging.
I stopped pulling my arm and stood still. He….he didn’t mean what he just said, right? My family was real, my foster parents, my ‘sisters’ and ‘brother’, they were real. This wasn’t an illusion! It couldn’t be!
