I also learned that no matter how much I loved Josh, well I couldn't deny that he was a bit of an idiot who needs a strong, independent girl to give him a good kick up the... I declined the position due to the amount of drama already in my life.
"I still can't believe you're alive man." I mused, patting Shannon on the back.
"I still can't believe I haven't killed you yet." She snapped back. I hid my smile, and pretended to be scared by her threat. Jessica wasn't as discreet as she snickered. "Shut up Jessica!"
"Yeah Jessica!" I mocked.
"And you May!"
"Yeah May!" Jessica teased and I rolled my eyes in response.
We were walking towards the dining area, and Shannon had a permanent scowl on her face. Kelly seemed that it was best not to mess with Shannon while she was as pissed as she was, and let Max go easily with a warning.
Yet Shannon was still furious with our stunt that we pulled the night before. She was also pissed at Josh for some unknown reason.
"So," I drawled, "you seem pretty mad at Josh. Is he being annoying?"
"You could say that."
"Did he try to kiss you?"
"Was he taunting Caleb?"
"Did he make a move a move on someone else?"
"Then why are you grumpy with him?" I cried, throwing my arms up in frustration.
"Because he's an asshole!" She hissed. Jessica raised an eyebrow and shrugged in agreement before walking on ahead of us. I pulled Shannon to a halt and stared at her expectantly. "What?"
"Okay dude, I know better than anyone that Josh can be a bit of a jerk when he wants to be, plus I am a huge Shaleb shipper-"
"-so why don't you just tell me what he did and then we can sort it out. I hate when your mad at someone, you're scary."
Shannon didn't reply and just kept walking. We approached the dining area and atmosphere was still hyped after the party. I jogged over to my table and squeezed in between Shane and Melissa. "How did you abandon ship last night?" I demanded, glaring at Melissa.
"I jumped overboard and swam to Narnia." She drawled sarcastically, smirking at me.
"I didn't even get to dare you!"
"And I didn't want you to dare me!"
I narrowed my eyes at her, then glanced at her bacon sandwich in front of her. Being the nice person I was and wanting to make us even so that she didn't owe me for the rest of eternity, I stole her sandwich. "Now we're even." I grinned happily and took a bite.
"You're so annoying."
Shane nudged me, "Am I the only one who can feel the tension between those two?" He gestured towards Shannon and Josh. I sighed and shook my head.
"I think they're fighting." I explained, pursing my lips as I watched the two. Josh was looking at Shannon expectantly, but she glared down at her plate. Josh sighed and began to top his cereal with chopped up fruit.
