Spirit Animals:9 A Stop In The Road

Alyssa was not liking this journey so far. Her only friends were Reese, Majesty, and Royalty. They were walking along a dry grassy path, the twins were enjoying a dry place for once. After the long ride on the ship personally Alyssa felt great to be on land too. Just in a few weeks she had already felt like a tiger. When she was mad she got the sudden urge to growl and when she was happy she almost purred.
On the road, Reese and her had seemed to bond more; everyone got more comfortable around them.
Well, except for Meilin. Ever since their little argument Alyssa seemed a little more weary of her. She couldn't blame her, though. She would be mad too, if someone knew more about her spirit animal than her. She would feel the same.
As they walked on the trail, Alyssa wondered what would be up ahead as they continued. Alyssa knew well enough that they could never work well together if they were separated like this.
She whispered to Reese,"I know you realize that we can never do this together as a team, so what should we do?"
It was very hard for Alyssa to talk to Reese because her horse, Lazarus, was very tall. Even when she was riding on the top of Majesty.
Reese whispered back," I don't know. It's not like I know everything that's going to happen. I may have intuition about it, but not that much."
Alyssa had no idea what to do, so she did the only thing that she could. Alyssa suddenly yelled," Stop! Everyone!"
Everyone froze in their place and looked at her. She hadn't realized what she was doing until Royalty licked her palm with her tongue. They were now at a clearing, a change of scenery from the trail. Alyssa spoke in a clear tone,"Guys we can't go on like this! At this point we'll never be able to fight together, let alone get a tailsmen."
Everyone knew she was right. Meilin spoke up and said,"What do you suppose we do oh great Star Keeper?",she said with sarcasm.
Alyssa knew if she got into an argument with Meilin right now they may never get along. So instead of retaliating she said," I think it would be good for each of us to share a little about each other. Oh, and by the way I can tell when you're lying I have already been visited a few times in my dreams."
Alyssa knew with that little threat hanging in the air the chances of someone lying were slim, but then again Rollan could tell too, if he focused enough.
Reese spoke up,"I'll go first", she said shyly.
