Chapter 2~First Day
Shelby
I woke up and stared at my surroundings. I think I'm gonna enjoy staying here. I quickly got dressed and headed to the bathroom to do my hair and makeup. A few minutes later there was a knock on the door.
"Shelby! Hurry up!"
"Shut up Ross! Don't you have your own bathroom?"
"Tim's using it"
"Use Tim's"
"Okay"
"Oh my god"
I quickly finished and headed to the kitchen. I ate some dry cereal. I turned to see Max.
"Oh hey Max"
"Oh...Um...I gotta go"
He ran out the door. Ross came into the kitchen to see Max run out the door.
"What was that about?"
"I don't know. He wasn't like this yesterday. Was it something I did?"
Ross put his hand on my shoulder.
"Of course not Shelbs"
"Then what is it?"
"I...um...don't know"
~TIME SKIP~At offices~
I walked in. I was greeted by everyone. I hugged Adam first and then continued to everyone else. Last to hug was Red.
"Hey Red"
"Hey Shelby. Good to see you"
"You too"
After them showing me my office, I wandered around. I found Max's desk in the editors bowl.
"Hey Max. What happened this morning?"
"Oh it was nothing Shelby. I just needed to get here early"
"Oh...O...Okay"
I walked away hanging my head.
Max
"Oh...O...Okay"
She walked away look upset. I didn't mean to upset her. I facepalmed into my desk. Then I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see Adam.
"Max?"
"Go away Adam"
"What was that about?"
"I like Shelby"
"Oh, ask her out"
"Imagine if she said no. It'd be so awkward"
"How about this? It's January 31 right?"
"Yeah"
"Valentines day is coming up. Ask her to be your Valentine"
"That's a great idea Adam"
"See I'm genius"
"Of course"

I watched as Red walked into my office.
"Hey Shelby"
"What's up?"
"Things aren't awkward since we kissed a PAX right?"
"Of course"
"Great. I didn't want it to be awkward since we're gonna work together"
"Of course. Don't worry about it"
"Okay"
