Chapter 16 - Temperature Rising

                 

"Bethany! Hayley! we're  going" I race down to them and kiss him. Then turn to Nik

"Don't dagger him and bring me home someone nice to drink please." I walk off to get dressed  once I was I felt a stabbing pain in my neck.

"Ow!" I exclaimed touching it. I wiped of some blood and I went to find Rebekah who was with Hayley.

"Hayley did you just feel..."

"A stabbing in my neck yeah" I look at Bekah

"Beck there is only one thing that would cause something to happen to both of us at the same time... something has happened to Sophie."

"Do you feel anything now?" Hayley asked me and I shook my head.

A while later Bekah came in

"It's time for the miracle babies to snack" she joked

"I really wish you wouldn't call her that" "I really wish you wouldn't call him that" Hayley and I sighed as she held out a bowl of apples.

"I'm sorry have you thought of any names for them. Take one the plantation is lousy with them. How are your necks"

"We feel fine which is weird, like Beth said it's most likely something Sophie related.

"Well do me a favour and don't die on my watch I'll never hear the end of it."

"You know when I first met you two I thought you were a real bitches" Hayley commented

"What changed your mind" I laughed

"Nothing I still think you're bitch's, I've just grown to like that about you two"

"Yeah this is nice compared to Mystic Falls, ah fun times" I  leaned my head back.

"Well that's sweet. Remember it when I'm gone" my head snapped up

"Gone? Where are you going?" I asked

"I only came back to town to make sure everything was okay with Bethany and Elijah. They're fine and he hasn't punished Klaus for daggering him so as usual, they'll be thick as thieves and I'll be left to clean up the mess. It's time for me to fly the coop" I felt something happen as I shook my head

"what's wrong?"

"Rebekah." I stood up "I don't feel so good" I then collapsed into her arms.

"oh, okay" I felt myself go onto the bed and she felt my forehead.

"You're burning up....you too Hayley"

"Bucket, I need a bucket" a felt a whoosh of air before I threw up my breakfast.

"Okay Hayley you on the bed too" I felt it dip and both us pregnant girls were on the bed. I lifted my head up

"Get Elijah right now" I breathed and I saw she got on her phone. I blink furiously to try and focus on something.

"Hayley are you by any chance having hot flushes, and umm"

"blurred vision yeah" I felt a cold compress as I opened my eyes and Bekah was dabbing me with a wet cloth. I shooed her off.

"Stop fussing will you? Elijah will be here any minute"

"Where's Sophia? Is okay is she safe?" I asked shooting up

"She's fine I laid her down for a nap and when Elijah get's here I'll take care of her." I hummed

"I feel like I've been microwave" Hayley mumbled

"Hey just because both of you are carrying babies doesn't mean either of you can act like one." 

"Go bother Hayley, you're pissing me off" she sighed and went to Hayley's side. There were footsteps and I saw Elijah walk in

"Elijah" I smiled weakly and held out my hand he took long strides and grabbed it

"What is she doing here?" Bekah asked

"I'm trying to help" Sophie replied

"Help? You're the reason we're in this bloody mess. Why aren't we unlinked with this witch already?" I rubbed my stomach..

"I may know how to calm the fever down. I'll text you a list."

"Fine. happy to play the fetch clown" Bekah left.

"Elijah call Pippa get her to come over and take care of Sophia, she needs to be here yesterday" he got his phone out and called her. After  Elijah started to dab my head where as Sophie took Hayley.

"Please Elijah distract me so i don't whine like a baby"

"What do you think were having?" he asked I smiled

"We are having a boy. One of the witches did a little trick on us and we found out the sex" he smiled

"A boy, what are we going to call him?"

"I had a few names, but typical me can't decide. No ancestors to name him after"

"When this is over why don't you tell me them" I hummed

"Bethany" I saw Pippa.

"Pip, look after Sophia she's in her nursery third...room on the right" she gulped and nodded leaving

"I feel really warm like I'm getting sun burned." I told him

"Sophie stay here with Hayley I'm taking them outside." I was lifted up and taken outside by the pool where he sat me down. He then got Hayley and we had blankets. He took our temperature again. Rebekah came back with the herbs

"They're burning up. We need to do this now, Rebekah you take Hayley" I caught him strip of his jacket.

"Is it me or am I the only one that gets really hot when he strips." I joke

"Get them in the water." Bekah and Elijah jumped in and came to get us

"I don't see how a midnight swim is going to help" Bekah called taking Hayley while Elijah held me as I got in the water.

"The water along with the herbs will help" I heard another splash

"Here drink this" she handed me a cup and I downed it.

"You need to slow down their heart rate" Sophie told them.

"And how do you suggest we do that?" Elijah asks

"Hold them. It's a natural human remedy to slow the heart rate and reduce blood pressure. I was lifted into my husband's arms as  the both of us started panting.

"This is never going to work." Bekah breathed

"Davina will unlink them. We just need time"

"She better or I will kill every fucking witch in this fucking city if we lose these babies" I growled 

"I can't breathe" I panted as I started to panic

"Sweetheart just breathe, focus on the sound of my voice" I listen to him .

"Have I ever told you how much I love..." I started screaming in pain along with Hayley as I clutched my stomach. I then felt as if a weight was lifted off of me.

"I just felt it lift" my breathing slowed down as I still clutched onto Elijah, he took my hand and lifted it up, there was nothing. I was let down and we looked at each other before I gave him a gentle and sweet kiss.

"Come on" he whispered," Let's go" I made my way to the side of the pool and did the most unexpected thing. I hugged Hayley. Our Bumps knocking each other.
