I grabbed a handful of the soft material on my bed and shoved my clothes into a small duffle bag. I heard Q humming Faith by George Michael as he fixed the buttons on his shirt. He'd really made an effort with his clothes which showed he was kinda nervous about meeting my full-on family.
"You really don't have to come you know," I stated, turning towards Zoe who was sitting on my bed with Sal's head on her lap. She played with his loose curls as she replied.
"Are you kidding?.. I wouldn't miss Q meeting your family for the world!" She laughed as Brian sighed nervously. "Sal an I are gonna bung our bags in your car." She said, standing up from the bed and heading downstairs with Sal.
"So I'm guessing I'm driving?" I sighed.
"I can drive if you want?" Q offered sweetly. I walked towards him with a closed-lip smile and reached my arms around his neck.
"It's fine... And besides you're not insured on my car and aren't used to driving in England," I smiled, standing on my tiptoes to kiss him.

The car drive down to Devon was... How do I put it? Long.
"I don't want to listen to that AC DC crap," Zoe moaned.
"It's my car, my music!"
"Why not a bit of Beyoncé?" Sal asked as we all turned to face him.
"Seriously?" I mused, peering at him in the rearview mirror.
"I've got a Metallica CD," Q chipped in.
"Oh not you too.." Zoe sighed. "RED LIGHT!" She screeched as I stepped on the break suddenly. "You're a fucking awful driver." She complained.
"Shut up Zo," I replied, stroking Banjo with my free hand, who was sat sweetly on Q's lap.
"She's not an awful driver," Brian defended, "She just has her own style." I smiled as he rested his hand on mine which was clutching the gear stick. Zoe made a hurling noise behind us before I shot her a glare.
"Okay, we're here," I laughed, swinging the car into the drive opposite Dad's house, "Thank God."
I parked next to my sister's Land Rover and pulled the car door handle open before Brian grabbed my arm. I kissed him self consciously as I knew Zoe was watching and whispered,
"They're gonna love you."

"Gracie!" Ezra cried, once again running from the cottage and towards the car. I jumped out and crouched down to his level before he leaped into my arms.
"Hey little man, how ya doing?"
"Good," he said slowly before wriggling from my grip and charging towards Zoe.
"Hello, Ezzy pants!" She giggled. He then stood and gawped at Sal and Brian.
"Who are you?" He asked quizzically.
"I'm Brian, your Aunt's boyfriend." He said. I winced slightly at his phrasing but laughed when Ezra looked confused by Q's thick accent.
"Oh yeah. I met you both at dat party," he giggled. He then confidently jumped at Q who luckily caught him and lifted him in the air before Ezra reached over to hug Sal.
"Hey Buddy," Sal chuckled. Layla and Jack came over and embraced both me and Zoe. Layla's attention soon turned to the guys.
"Hi, I'm Layla, Grace's big sister... We spoke on the phone." She said cheekily, whipping her hazel hair to the side. She hugged them both and Jack gave them a manly handshake. I think Q may have been a tad intimated by Jack's impressive physique and tall person. He was very attractive but was my sister's high school sweetheart so I'd known him since I was nine which made me always think of him as a brother. Zoe and my sister began chatting as I watched my Dad appear from the house. My Dad was and always had been very protective. He walked purposefully towards Brian as I inhaled sharply. Here we go...
