I woke up from my deep thoughts to the sound of screaming, and found Ellie next to me in my bed, breathing heavy and turning in bed.

She woke up shaking and stood up, she started walking back and forth while crying.

I quickly got up and hurried over to her.

"Hey hey hey" I whispered into her hair as I put my arms around her to stop her from shaking. "It's okay, you're okay. I'm here Ellie"

Eventually she stopped crying and looked up at me with sad eyes.

"I'm sorry" she whispered.

"Don't say sorry" I stated. "You don't ever have to say sorry to me, don't do that again"

"I'm sorry..." she said again.

"Did you dream about...?"

She nodded. I knew what she was going through, that was the main reason of why I couldn't sleep for more than ten minutes at a time. The nightmares kept me awake.

"I wish I could be more like you" she sighed and walked over to the window. "You're not a mess like me"

"I'm not as fine as I seem" I said and sat down on the bed again.

She turned around to look at me, and then she sat down beside me on the bed. She rested her head on my shoulder and took my hand in hers.

Her tiny hand almost disappeared into mine as we intertwined our fingers together.

"I have nightmares too" I told her. "Every time I close my eyes I see the train, the fire, the dead people..." You, I wanted to add, but didn't.

"And that's why you don't" she mumbled with a low voice.

I just nodded.

Instead of going back to bed, we sat in the couch watching TV for the rest of the night.

The sun hit my face as I layed curled up in Josh's couch, and I looked up to see his face.

He was alseep, for the first time this week I think. A rainbow reflected over his face, and I couldn't help but to giggle.

Apparently my giggle woke him up, cause his eyes opened a little but closed again as he was blinded by the sunshine.

He muttered and tried to cover his eyes with his arm. I guess he was grumpy in the morning, and that made me laugh even more.

"What's so funny?" He asked from under his arm.

"Nothing" I giggled.

My fingers traced a few inches from the contours of his arm, and down to his face. They stopped at his lips, where they landed quietly.

A grumpy "mmmrhghh" escaped from his lips before my fingers continued to hover down over his arm and stopped right above his armpit. He couldn't feel it yet, but I was so close.

I let my fingers land and tickled him.

In one second he shot up from his sleeping position with a high-pitched scream and I jumped out of the couch.

"OH you're not getting away with this!" He yelled as he followed me.

I ran to the only safe spot I could find, the bathroom, and locked the door.

"GET OUT! You're gonna pay for this!" Josh laughed from the other side of the door.

"NEVER!" I yelled back laughing.
