Steven's P.O.V:

"Peridot." I call out.

She stutters. "Eep!"

"H-Hey Steven!" She greets.

"Peridot I'm sorry for being a bit mad last night, I was so confused." I apologize.

She turns around. "It's alright, Steven. I forgive you."

"You do? Yaay!" I exclaim and hug her.

"Y-You can let go now." She says. NOPE.

"Just a bit longer." I chuckle. I will never let go of her, never!

She sighs. "Maybe just a BIT longer."

I let go of her. "So, Connie texted me that she's coming here."

She freezes. "W-W-What?"

"Peridot, I'm sure you two will be just fine." I add.

"Does she even know that I live with you?" She asks. Why?

"I have no idea." I sigh disappointedly.

She sighs. "I'll be fine!"

"Awesome!" I exclaim.

I hope everything goes well.

~Time skip~

Knock, knock. "Hello?" A familiar voice call out from the door.

I get up from the couch and open the door. "Hey Connie."

"Hey Steven!" Connie exclaims and hugs me.

I blush and say, "Hey."

I turn around and see Peridot. "Hey Peri."

Peridot widens her eyes. Connie too.

"YOU!?" They both exclaim.

"Steven, Peridot lives with you!?" Connie asks shockingly. What's wrong?

"Yeah, isn't it.... great?" I faintly ask.

"Yes, I live with Steven. Do you have any problem?" Peridot asks.

"Look, I want to apologize for..."

"Being cold with me because of how I caused trouble for Steven. I forgive ya." She says.

"Yay!" I exclaim and punch my fist in the air.

"What are you waiting for? Let's get started!" Connie exclaims.

"Alriiiiiight!" I exclaim and turn to Peridot.

Peridot looks confused. "Peridot, come!"

"Affirmative." She accepts and follows me to the bed.

"I got these Pokémon cards, you know how to play it right?" Connie asks.

"Yeah." I reply. Peridot looks even more confused.

"Peridot wanna play? I can teach you if you want." I suggest.

"No thanks! I'll be the scorer." She offers. Odd.

"Alrighty!" That's what she wants so yeah. I wanted to play with her too.

After loads of games..

"Blastoise!" I exclaim. "18000"

"Ehh, Reshiram! 11,000!" Connie chuckles.

"One more point!" Peridot smiles and draws one strand on my side on the paper.

"Phew! That was a long game." I exclaim.

"Yeah, Connie wins due to more points." Peridot points out.

"Good game." Connie nods. "Summer Vacation's gonna end next month.." She says disappointedly.

"Aww.." I sadly say.

"Don't worry though, I'll be sure to call you." Connie says and hugs me.

I hug her back. So warm..

SNAP OUTTA IT. SHE'S NOT THE ONE FOR YOU. PERIDOT IS-

"Peridot." Garnet calls out. Suddenly..

-the one?

"Yes?" Peridot responds.

"Come."

Peridot shrugs and goes with her.

Strange. These words suddenly came into my head. Still hugging Connie, I let her go.

Connie blushes and clears her throat. "I'll be back. I gotta go back home for lunch. See ya!" She says and goes out.

I nod and think.. Will Peridot feel the same?
