Chapter 39

*Kenzie's P.O.V*

I woke up feeling really rough.

"Hey Hannah." I shook her as she stirred in her sleep.

"Huh what?"

"Tonight we are getting out of here."

"That's if we don't die." She chuckled rubbing her eyes getting up.

"I am pretty sure we wont, if Taylor can come before it all burns down."

"I don't know."

"We can do this." She nodded shrugging as we sat hearing nothing, but silence.

"Did they leave?" Hannah whispered to me.

"I am not sure, I don't wanna risk us getting beaten so lets stay down here." She nodded curling into a ball.

"Are you cold?"

"Nope just freaking out."

"Why?"

"I can be in the same room for too long it makes me feel like shit." She put her head in he knees.

"It's okay we will be out later I promise." She nodded when the main front door slammed shut hearing Ryan and Zack's voices.

"If I knew they were gone I would have picked the lock and we could have ran away." I punched the wall sitting next to her.

"It's okay, we will be free soon." I sighed nodding and waiting for the basement doors to open.

We sat just talking casually when I could feel someone behind us.

"Yes." I turned to see someone I really wasn't expecting.

"Emma?" I strutted.

"Uh hey." She rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly.

"Why are you down here?"

"I saw Liv in the market and well things didn't go well." I sighed letting her sit down.

"Holy shit girls what happened?" Emma gasped looking at us.

"Oh Hannah this is Emma and Emma this is Hannah and it's a long story." I sat next to them both.

"Well explain." She laughed.

"Well because me and Taylor have been getting on she tracked me down and because of her jealously I am in here and we get hourly beatings, but I get worse because I fight back."

"I know I saw the video last night with the baseball bat." I nodded when the door opened.

"Pretend your unconscious." I whispered to Hannah as she nodded sprawling herself over the floor.

"Well, well, well I see you made a friend fast." Liv smirked at Emma.

"Oh please... Your so orange you can ever see." She rolled her eyes, she shouldn't have said that.

"You shouldn't have said that Emma."

"What do you mean?"

"Um did you meet Ryan and Zack?"

"Yeah... They are so weak I mean they got hit with a baseball bat."

"THEY WHAT!?" Liv screeched stomping off upset slamming the door shut hearing the lock click.

I looked over at Emma as she shrugged.

"It's okay I have my phone." Emma smiled.

"What do you mean?"
