"WAHOO!!! YES,YES, YES! FINALLY!" Osomatsu hollered triumphantly. For days and days, weeks and weeks, months upon months, He had played pachinko! And, on everyone of those tries he had lost and lost and lost. He had gone through his own money, his brothers' money, and almost all of the loose change and lost yen all through the house. Only to lose. But Osomatsu did not let his seemingly bad luck stop him. He ignored the hopeless feeling at the bottom of his heart, he ignored the annoyed insults from his brothers, he ignored it all. He knew, he knew that he would have to win at least once! Finally that time had come! He had won! At first, he didn't believe it. He blinked, rubbed his eyes, pinched the guy next to him. The man yelped and rubbed his arm , glaring and walked away. It wasn't a dream! After a brief celebration that consisted of excessive hollering and rubbing his good fortune in any face he could, he strode up to the front desk of the store to claim his prize. The lady checked some things and made sure everything was valid. Then she smiled. "Congratulations sir! I am happy to tell you that you've one an extravagant trip on the Regal Cruise Line!" Osomatsu smiled."Yes! Nothing like a little relaxation on the seven seas!"
"But that's not all sir!" The lady exclaimed.Osomatsu turned to her expectantly," Oh?" The lady nodded,"You've also won a 3000 yen bonus and a 1000 yen bonus for each other person you bring with you on the trip!" Osomatsu's mouth dropped."T-Three thousand!? For real!? This just keeps getting better and better!"
The lady smiled."Yes indeed you are quite lucky sir," She started, digging under her desk," It's not often that we have huge prizes like this!" She fished out a brochure, and paper clipped a smaller piece of paper onto it. Then she handed it to Osomatsu. "If you could just come back tomorrow so you can tell me how many people you'll be bringing– for the bonuses– alright?" "Got it!" Osomatsu thanked the lady and left the store on cloud nine.
At home, all of the brothers we doing their own thing. Just a normal day. Suddenly the door swung open, and a triumphant Osomatsu stepped through the door. With a smirk on his face he declared," Guess who's going on a cruise with 3,000 yen in hand!" There was a moment of silence. Then the calm atmosphere of the room was shattered.
