Chapter 15 "i almost taught i lost you"

"so you really think he's coming for us?" Glenn asked for the millionth time, I sighed heavily as I rubbed my forehead

G decided I'd be better of not to speak with rick, which was a load of Bollox, so now I had no idea what the plan was, which is Somthing I'm not good with

"Glenn, rick is coming for us. He will not leave us. I don't know when or how but he'll come"

Glenn nodded his head as he moved the piece for the chest game we where playing

"uh- check" Glenn said awkwardly, probably sensing how tense I was

I sighed, moving a piece to block his move, he began looking at the bored taughtfully

One of the elders patted Glenn on the shoulder saying hello, Glenn smiled up at him before turning back, he looked up at me and noticed my scrunched eyebrows

"what?" he asked nervously, I shook my head at him, biting the inside of my cheek

"seem to be getting on with people here" I said quietly, Glenn smiled once again and nodded "yeah, there not so bad, I mean it's not like your not getting along to" he chuckled, finally moving a piece

"don't get attached" I spoke softly, gently scanning my hand above the pieces on the boreds "were not staying"

"I know.. I just.. I mean life's to short now not to just get along right" he said still smiling, I looked back up at him threw my eyelashes, my expression again making his face fall again , relizing he was hitting a rather sensitive topic

I couldnt help but feel bad, I moved a piece, and sat back in the chair looking down at him

"I guess your right" I said, not to sure if he was or not, but with the piece I moved I knocked over his king

"check mate" I smirked, Glenn frowned his eyebrows and looked shocked

Suddenly we where both cut of by the sound of loud weezing, and then followed by dry coughing

Me and glenn stood up and rushed over to where an elderly man seemed to be having an azma attack

"he needs an inhaler!" I said to the elderly people that surrounded him, they all seemed to ignore me

"an inhaler! Inhaler?" I said desperately, they looked from me to the man in confussion, Glenn started petting his back as he coughed again

"his medicine?" an old lady suddenly said, gripping my arm gently

"yes, yes his medicine" I said nodding to her, she smiled at me, nodded also and turned around, making her way out of the hall
"I go get falipa" she said as she slowly walked, I huffed at how slow she was walking, but decided to take action

"Glenn sit him up straight" I ordered, Glenn looked at me looking frantic, before bringing the man up by his shoulders

"okay, put your hand here" I said to the elder man, placing his hand over his chest and applying pressure, I then started getting him to do breathing exercises

It took a few minutes, but his breathing slowly began to slow down, I kept going, even tho he was stable he needed his inhaler, but I kept going just incase

Glenn seemed very nervous, he stood away from he biting his nail

"is he going to be okay?" Glenn asked, I turned around, and an old lady took my place

"he's gonna be fine" I said, breathing heavily "don't worry"

Suddenly I noticed falipa walking passed us, I looked over to where he came from, and noticed G, but seconds after I noticed our group

"rick" I breathed out, relief rushing over me as I quickly paced over to him, he met me half way and we engulfed each other in a tight hug

"oh thank God" I whispered as he began rocking us gently

"I almost taught I lost you" he whispered back, holding me even closer then

"what is all this?" he mumbled, looking around from over my shoulder

"azma attack" Glenn answered, I pulled away from rick to look at the rest of the group

"I taught ye where being eaten by dogs man" tdog said aggravated, me and glenn turned around to the little rats behind us

Suddenly ricks presence wasn't in front of me as he walked to G, I could tell rick was angry for being played like that, but G basically explained to rick what he had to me and glenn and then we decided to go somewhere a bit more private

I walked from the back of the group, noticing they went into a small room, I turned the corner and leaned against the door across from daryl

"the people we've met... The worst kind, kind that take by force" G explained

"That's not who we are" rick answered

"How was I meant to know, you shot one of my boys and had one as a hostage, and your apperance" I scoffed mentally, I told him we werent bad, that's how he was meant to know

"The world has changed" t dog said

"No, not really, these people here where left behind, we needed the guns to defend this place, we want to leave but most of these people can't even go to the bathroom by themselves so that's just a dream, we guard the perminitor night and day to keep this place safe.. These people, they all look to me now, I don't know why" he spoke passionatly, and with saddness in his tone

I noticed ricks head turn towards me, we made brief eye contact before he looked to the floor, then to G

"because they can"

"be honest, you only came back to athlanta for the hat" Glenn spoke, I covered my mouth with my hand to hold back my laugh

"don't tell anybody" rick said humoursly

"gave away half our guns and ammo" daryl grumbled angrily

"not nearly half" rick spat back

"for what, a bunch of old farts who don't Have long anyways"

"how long do any of us got" I answered, glaring over at dixon

"oh shit" Glenn suddenly breathed out, I turned back, and my face paled at what I seen.. Or rather, didn't see

"where's our van gone?" I asked angrily

"merle" rick snarled, I turned to him, biting my lip

"gonna be taking some vengeance back to camp..."
