Three years after the death of Sinu, Alejandro Cabello has finally met someone new. Since he traveled so often for work, he dated many women but over time, he found someone to officially settle down with. In attempts to improve his new yet rocky marriage with his new long-distance lover, he brought his two daughters over to sunny southern California to live in with the new step-family.

The three remaining Cabello members have finally finished unpacking the rest of their belongings in their new home in Malibu. It was a step up from where they lived before, with a million dollar home in a billion dollar neighborhood to prove it.

The move was dreadful mostly for Camila, the oldest daughter. She had spent her entire life in Florida where all of her friends still remained and the same place that her mother raised her in. She was in the line up for class valedictorian, the President of the school's student government, and a cheerleader who was a friend to all. She lived the life, all until her mothers death, fathers remarriage, and the new move which nearly tore her world apart.

She couldn't complain though. Her father was happy again, and Malibu was a safer city for Sofi to grow up in. The views of the clear blue ocean water, the tall palm trees, and the friendly vibes were hard to hate.

Her biggest fear about it all was to attend a new school without knowing a single soul. Well, she knew one... Her new step-sister, Kendall. At first they hit it off really well until a vacation over summer nearly had the taller girl clawing at her because some boy thought she was cuter than her. After that, Kendall just kept on getting worse and worse. She would be little Camila, constantly push her around when they were in close proximity, and even lie to their parents about some thing she hasn't done.

Now at a new school with someone who decided to hate her out of nowhere, Camila would need to build back up her confidence that took her years to maintain. And with the captain of the cheer squad after her at both school and home, truly did not help to put her at the bottom of the high school social ladder.

"Mija, you have to go to school. I promise it'll be fun!" Alejandro gave his daughter a brown paper bag with a packed lunch inside. "I left little notes in there as a mood booster to get you through the day when or if you need it." It was something that Camila loved whenever her mother did it for her.

"Thanks Papa," Camila sighed out and playfully rolled her eyes before kissing her father's head.

"Kendall already left though," He said cautiously. "And Kris took the other car."

"So you're telling me they already ditched me on the first day of school?"

Her house was exactly seven miles away from her new school, Pacific Coast Academy. It was an elite private school, pretty much known for their scholarly and athletic students who dominated in every sport. The worst part of it all: her evil step-mother was the principal.

Dreading the fact that she had to at least run to the bus stop to make it to her first day of school on time, Camila procrastinated by spending a few minutes on the driveway. She needed to pep-talk herself in order to get the nerves out, as well as calm her own heated feelings down.

"Okay, Camila. You can do this. First day of school is no big deal, you've been doing this for 12 years, one more won't hurt-" Camila stopped when she realized a pair of eyes were on her.

To the house on the left, stood a beautiful brunette with stunning green eyes. She seemed to be chuckling at her, which almost immediately made Camila blush in embarrassment.

To save herself, she raised her phone to her ear.

"I-I'm on the phone," Camila stuttered.

"What?" The girl raised an eyebrow like she genuinely didn't know what she was talking about.
