13.| Dreams

I am waiting for my parents in my condo. We're scheduled to visit the lot i am buying for them in Antipolo. There will rise our new home.

"Potch, mauna na kayo ni Papa ha? Sunduin ko lang si Mikole." A text from Mama. I just replied okay.

I received a call from the front desk informing me that my dad's already waiting for me at the lobby. I talked to Dad and asked him if he wants to go up but he refused. He said he'll just wait for me in the lobby.

I gathered my things and went down to meet my Papa.

I saw him sitting in the lounge reading the daily newspaper. "Pa." i called him as i walk my way to him. He stood up and kissed me.

"Mauna na daw tayo sabi ng mama mo. Hihintayin pa niya si Mikole. O gusto mo bang hintayin nalang din natin sila?" He asked me.

I locked my arm on his, "Una na tayo, Pa. Bonding ba." I giggled.

The ride going to Antipolo isn't that bad. We were able to reach the place in less than an hour. The broker of the property showed us around and explained everything.

I looked at Papa, "Ano pa? Okay na yung place? Kunin na natin?"

Papa looked at the broker then me, "Kung ako ang tatanungin mo, kahit wag ka ng bumili lupa o bahay, Anak."

The broker excused herself and gave us some privacy. I asked Papa to walk around the lot.

"Papa, please pagbigyan niyo na ako dito." I said sweetly.

He held my hand as we continue to walk, "Okay lang naman, Anak. Pero hindi kasi praktikal. Anong gagawin natin sa bahay na ipapatayo dito? Sa bahay sa Bulacan at sa Recto?"

"Ayaw mo non Pa? Ang dami nating choices?" I kid.

"Ang pilosopo mo, Mika Aereen." He told me while suppressing a smile.

I laughed, "Hindi naman, Papa. Gusto ko lang talaga magpagawa ng bahay para sa inyo ni Mama."

"Pero okay naman kami sa bahay natin. Hindi na nga namin alam saan kami uuwi, tapos dadagdagan mo pa ng isa?" He said.

That made me pout, "Ehh Papa naman!"

"Tapos bumili ka pa ng condo at bagong sasakyan. Nag-aaral ka pa. Ang dami mo ng gastos. Baka hindi natin matapos bayaran lahat." He lectured.

I smirked, "Wala ka bang tiwala sa akin?"

He looked at me, "Alam mong hindi yan ang ibig kong sabihin."

I leaned my head on his shoulder, "Pumayag ka na kasing kunin natin to, Pa. Sige, aamin na ako. Pangarap ko talaga na maipagawa kayo ni Mama ng bahay. Yung dream house ko ay para sa inyo...

Don't get me wrong, Pa. Hindi ako nag rereklamo sa bahay natin sa Bulacan & Recto. Yun parin naman ang pinaka bahay natin. Doon natin binuo ang pamilya kaya walang makaka pantay sa value ng 2 bahay na yon." I explained to him.

"Oh e para saan nga itong ipapagawa mo pang bahay kung sakali?" He asked.

"Dream house ko kasi tong ipapagawa natin dito, Pa. At gusto ko sa dream house ko na itatayo, doon titira ang dalawang pinaka importanteng tao sa buhay ko." I said sweetly.
