My instinct was to head up the stairs and face the stranger, or strangers, head on.

But I then reminded myself not to be an idiot. I had to get out of there.

I had already gotten food, which was why I left home in the first place.

I approached the stairs.

I ended up sliding down the railing to avoid the stairs creaking again.

I quietly approached the door.

Suddenly, I felt a heavy force slam into my back and I fell to the floor.

Someone came and pulled my arms behind my back, tying them. They then gagged me. I felt them remove my bag from my arm.

Holding me by my tied arms, they held me in place, kneeling on the ground.

They were behind me so I couldn't see them.

I tried to scream but the gag made it muffled.

Suddenly, a large man crossed into my line of vision.

He crouched down in front of me and smiled.

"Hi, Carl," he said.

I was wondering how he knew my name, but then I saw the W carved into his forehead.

I started breathing heavily.

The man voiced what I was thinking. "You thought you killed all of us, right?" he asked, chuckling. "Well, Carl, our group is much, much bigger than you think."

I didn't try to make a sound. I simply stared at him, hate in my eyes.

He chuckled and stood up. He started walking to his right.

As my eyes followed him, I realized that it wasn't just him, me, and the man holding me.

There were about a dozen Wolves making a semi-circle around the three of us.

I felt my eyes widen in fear.

I felt like I was back on that street again. Enid was being held by Ron, a knife to her neck.

Wolves were surrounding us and I had absolutely no idea what to do.

But this time, it was just me. No one else. Just me.

"Now," the man said. "We get to decide what to do with you."

He started listing possible actions of what to do, but I wasn't listening.

I was staring at his hand as it moved to the holster around his waist.

I watched in horror as he slowly pulled a gun out.

"Or," he finished. "We could just kill you right now."

I quickly walked up to me and pressed the end of the barrel of the gun to my forehead.
