Yoongi dropped his worn sports bag on the floor of his grandma's cottage, a sigh escaping his pursed lips as he ran a hand through his messy bed head. The familiar faint scent of oatmeal and honey paired with dust invade his senses, making him smile at the warm feeling of being here once more.

Every summer break his parents sent him to his grandmother's house in the country to give him something to do. There was always a summer job prepared for him as a delivery boy (do those still exist in the country? Yoongi had groaned when he first learned what he'd be doing), and as much as the idea of being in a place with little WiFi disgusted him; Yoongi enjoyed his summers.

Through the early mornings and into the afternoons, Yoongi would sometimes ride his bike and make deliveries from one of the grocery shops in town. There often wouldn't be too much work because of the small population of old people in the town, leaving him with a pretty relaxed day of sweeping the shop floors. The heat of summer would make his clothes sticky, and the amount dust from the dirt roads would probably kill him someday, but it was worth it.

When the evenings came, Yoongi would find himself in the backyard pulling weeds out of the garden for his grandma, or spitting watermelon seeds off her porch. They'd cook dinner together and catch up, gossiping about whether or not you have a crush on anyone, Yoongi. You have to keep me updated!

Yoongi had a strong feeling this summer was going to be a good one.

He awoke the next morning to the smell of scrambled eggs, the faint sizzling music to his ears-

"MIN YOONGI, YOU BETTER HURRY UP YOUNG MAN. I WILL HIT YOU WITH THIS FRYING PAN IF YOU'RE LATE TODAY."

Ah yes, relaxation.

Throwing himself out of his warm duvet, Yoongi grabbed the first shirt and pair of pants his fingers came in contact with. Scrambling down the stairs while getting dressed, he ran through the kitchen only to be stopped by a frail hand holding a large glass of orange juice.

"I'm just kidding sweetheart, you don't have to leave for another 20 minutes!" His grandma chuckled, dishing him up a plate of eggs and toast. "I just know the only way to wake you up is to yell. You're a heavy sleeper just like your dad was."

Yoongi blinked a few times, his mind churning slowly in it's half awake state. Once the pieces clicked together, he angrily took a bite of toast.

"Grandma! You couldn't have given me 5 more minu-"

"Don't start with me, kiddo. Eat your toast and then head out the door." Yoongi laughed quietly before saluting his grandma in an almost military fashion, and moving to sit and eat his breakfast.
