"Chloe to your left!" A voice yelled beside me . On instinct I turned and swung my leg into the air as I connected with the side of someone's head. Instantly I dropped to the ground as a hand swung over my head. I looked up and swooped my leg around the side and took their legs out from under them. My body launched forward and my fists began to connect with their face punch after punch. Once they were fully unconcious I stood up and took in the body's scattered around me. Some were old, others were young. Some were young male, the rest female. They all had a purpose. That purpose was to dispose of me but it looks like this time they failed.

Suddenly the world around me seemed to get dizzy and seconds later I sat up and took in deep breaths of air as if I haven't taken one in years. I glanced around the room and saw the smiling faces of my best friend and the fellow scientists. One of which who I considered my adoptive mother. Her smile was greatest of them all.

"You did excellent my darling!" Mother said as she came up with a usual twinkle in her eye. Her arms proceeded to wrap around me as pulled me into an enormous hug. I glanced over her shoulder to see my best friend Addy give me two thumbs up. Shortly after returning my mothers hug she stepped back and proceeded to tell me the results of my training.

"Chloe you get better and better after each training!" She smiled as she read over her clipboard. "Your response rate is amazing. Every time Addison gave you a command you responded instantly without any hesitation."

"Your moves were fluid and graceful." Another scientist spoke as she moved forward while reading from her clipboard. I've seen her around with my mother before but I've never inquired her name.

"But you lack in strength unlike the others" I turned my head towards the unfamiliar voice and watched as a Professor Tony and a younger male stepped foreword. I knew Professor Tony's voice from seeing him around the facility many times. The younger male stared at me with interest and lust as he scanned over my form. I glance back at him with a scowl upon my face. The strange male gave me a satisfactory smile and turned his eyes back down to his clipboard. "Other than that you did well."

"As for you Addison." Mother spoke as she glanced over at my best friend. "You did a wonderful job as well. Your commands were clear and very precise. Are you tired and dear, sometimes the telepathy can take a lot out of you?"

"Shouldn't you be asking Chloe?" Addy chuckled "She is the one who went through the actual simulation. I just gave her commands."

My mother moved her eyes onto me and I gave her a quick nod. Mother smiled and turned and walked out of the room with the other scientists swarming her like the paparazzi trying to interview a celebrity. I would swarm her too if I were a fellow scientist. She has done something that no one has ever would be possible. Let alone at this point in time. She created us.

Addy and I aren't your typical average teenagers. You could say we're special in a very unique way. Mother hasn't exactly given our kind a name yet. You see mother isn't actually my real mother. When I was a toddler I fell very ill and my parents abandoned me outside of the hospital. I was told they couldn't afford nor wanted to pay for my bills. At the time mother was working down in the lab finishing her final week of internships at the hospital. Once she saw me she said that she couldn't let me go through the struggle of growing up in foster homes, so she adopted me on the spot.

Mother was typical tall brown eyed beauty. She was young and had long blonde hair at that time. She was a very smart person. By the age of twenty-four she had a doctorate in biochemistry and a bachelors in technology. I don't remember it, but she used to tell me that by the time I was two she had already had her own facility with her own team of scientists. They were anything from chemists to computer scientists.

Around the time I was five, was when I began to notice I wasn't the on kid in the facility. They was a group of boys who seemed to be 3 years older than me. They never talked to them much until I got older. That same year is when the testing began. The tests mainly involved physicals, computer games, and kickboxing. As I got the older the tests got harder.

The day after my seventh birthday things began to change. I had once overhead the boys talking about it, but at he time I didn't pay much attention. On that day mother told me I was going to be having a special procedure done. Mother had never harmed me before so I thought nothing of it. She was there telling me soothing words as one of chemists covered my face with a mask and applied the anesthesia.

The next morning my eyes fluttered open as I felt a bunch of wires draped over my body. My eyes searched the room and saw no one. That was odd. Mother had said she was going to be right here when I woke up. Letting out a yawn I sat up slowly and stretch my muscles. Yet I felt resistance coming from my arms and neck. I brought my arms into view and let out a startled scream. There were glowing wire protruding from arms. On instinct I pulled the wires from my arm as the glow disappeared. I reached behind my neck and felt bile rise in my throat as I felt more wires in my neck. With a yank I was set free. With shaky legs I rose from the bed and wobbled to the door and froze once I saw my reflection. It wasn't the normal brown eyed black hair child staring back at me. It was a black haired sapphire eyed girl eying me back. I glanced over her body as I saw sapphire lines lining the girls body. My shaky hand reached down and touched the sapphire line on her leg, but she felt nothing but her own flesh. " how is this possible..?"

"You turned out beautiful." A breathless voice whispered behind me. My head whipped behind and I saw mother standing there with a proud smile upon her face. "Your better than I thought you'd be. Sleeping a mere three days and now already walking. Fantastic!"

"Mother." I responded with a shaky voice. "What is wrong with me..? Why am I now glowing..?"

"You see dear" she stepped up and embraced me in a tight hug. "Your special now. Your like the older boys now."

" What do mean like them?" I tilted my head slightly.

"Your no longer human." She whispered and stepped back. "Well, at least not full human. Your similar to what those movies call humanoids. Your half human and half robotic. As I look at you now. You may be my biggest achievement."

Mother was right that day. I no longer was human. The boys helped me to adjust to the things that came with being a hybrid, like the simulation combat, the regenerating, the monthly IQ tests. It was hard at first but I caught on quickly. A few months after my ninth birthday, more kids joined the facility all of which who were younger than me except Addison. Each year the facility seemed to grow larger and larger. Each of the children were turned just like me, including Addy. Addy's transition was a lot tougher as it took her a month to wake up and two more months to be stable. I was there each day for her. The years passed and we grew stronger. There was a difference between all of us though. They all would glow green when the robotic side was active, while mine glowed a sapphire.

"Earth to Chloe." Addy snapped in front of my face as I was pulled from my trance.

"Yeah." I mumbled as I brought mine to her.

"There's some-" Addy started to speak before someone burst through the door.
