-Epilogue-
10 years later.
I waited in the corridor, Frank and his wife, Jamia, sitting down while Ray and his wife, Christene, were in the cafe getting us some coffee. I walked along the corridor, passing. My heart raced, Frank stood up laughing.
"Dude, calm down. She'll be fine." Frank reassured me.
I nodded, "I know. I just can't wait; I'm going to be a father!" I smiled, jumping up and down a little too excitedly.
I never actually thought I'd get married, never mind a kid for a matter. I love Alicia, more than anything in the world really. After Gerard and my Mom and passed, she was always there for me; especially when my Dad re-married.
"I'm happy for you man," Frank smiled, resting his arm on his shoulder.
Then a nurse walked through from Alicia's room, she smiled; I felt even more excited than I ever had.
"You can go in now." She smiled.
I rushed in, seeing Alicia's holding my son in her arms. My face lit up.
"He's beautiful." I whispered, looking down at my baby that rested in Alicia's arm.
She smiled, looking up at me. "Would you like to hold him?" She asked.
My face lit up, I nodded taking him from Alicia's arms and held him. I couldn't believe we actually had a son together. I toughed his hand, he wrapped his little fingers around my hand.
"I can't believe it." Alicia smiled.
I looked over at her, "Neither can I."
"What should we call him?" She asked.
Throughout Alicia's pregnancy, we couldn't think of a name but then I thought of it. "What about Gerard?" I asked smiling.
She nodded, "I like it."
I looked down over at Alicia, kissing her forehead. Her cheeks went a red-ish colour, "I love you." I whispered.
"I love you too."
