Chapter Four

"Geez, do you ever go away?" An angry Sear asked a smug-looking Tom.
"What do you mean? How could I leave the sides of my future brides?" He replied, flipping a perfect lock of his scarlet hair out of his face with the toss of his head.
"You're still clinging onto that? Really, you are honestly pathetic, Tom!"
"Well, I see that you still have that sharp tounge of yours..."
"Hey, it's one of my redeeming features"
Tom smiled and shoved his hands into the pockets of his black skinny jeans and sighed.
"Honestly, I'll miss you when you're gone though, Sear" he said, begining to walk off.
The blond simply walked up behind the redhead and grabbed the collar of his white shirt with ease.
"Hold up. What nonsense are you spouting now, Tom?" She demanded, seriously.
"Nonsense? I'm just stating the truth, Sear" he replied, raising his hands up in defence.
"Like I said, what're you talking about?"
"Oh, come on. Did you not think that you'd have a time limit?"
"Huh?"
"You're not a human, Sear. You're just a manifestation of a teenage girl's emotions. Did you really think that you could live like an actual person?"
"...You're not making any sense, Tom! Are you still recovering from that blow Marco gave you at the airport?"
The redhead looked at Sear and gave her a serious look.
"You're going to die, Sear." He muttered, removing her hand from the collar of his shirt.
The blond nodded, simply.
"Yeah, I know that, Captain Obvious. Everybody passes on eventually!" She replied, just wishing that her unwanted quest would just go away.
"No. Not like that. You are just an emotion, Sear. And what do all emotions eventually do? That's right, they fade away..."
"W-What...?"
"Listen, the potion that Star used to summon you is reaching it's time limit. You're gonna be gone from this world soon"
"D-Do you really think that I'll beleive you? After everything you've put my friends through?"

Tom shrugged and walked away.
"You don't have to. But I know that I'm right, Sear" he said, simply. "And to be honest, I'm not bothered if you don't trust me, it's not like it's my life hanging in the balance"
Sear clenched her teeth in a mix of frustration and anger, only just resisting the urge to slap the rich kid across his face.
She watched him disappear into a crowd of people, glad to see the back of him.
'I won't beleive lies like that...What does that jerk take me for? An idiot?' Sear asked herself, leaning against a nearby wall; letting herself get lost in her thoughts.
'But...suppose Tom is telling me the truth? If so...shouldn't I do what I really want to do now? Whilst I still have the chance...?' She continued, playing with a lock of her blond hair, nervously.

"Sear? Sear!" Came Marco's voice, as he waved his hand in front of her face.
"M-Marco?" Sear replied, snapping out of her daze and blushing from the embarassment.
"Oh good, you're still with me! I thought you were sleeping with your eyes open or something, Sear!"
"Hehehe! Sorry about that, I was just thinking about something"
"Oh, okay. So, want to start our date?"
"Yeah!"
Marco smiled and began walking ahead of Sear, thinking that she was next to him; but in reality, Sear was hadn't taken a simple step from her original posistion.
'I might not have a lot of time left, I might disappear tomorrow or maybe next week...I have to make the most of what I've got!' The blond thought to herself, trying to supress her blush and ready herself for what she was about to say to the bruenette.

"H-Hey, Marco?" She asked, nervously, twiddling her thumbs, shyly.
"Yeah? What's wrong, Sear?" He asked, gently.
"About our date..."
"Yeah?"
"I'm gonna skip all of my original plans and go to the last place I wanted to take you...I-Is that okay?"
"Hm? Yeah, sure; but is that really okay?"
"Y-Yeah. Definetly..."
The blond walked towards her date and gently linked hands with the Safe Kid, smiling.

"Will I like where you're going to take me, Sear?" The bruenette asked, curious about Sear's sudden change in personality.
"Trust me, you'll love it, Marco..." the blond said with her usual seductive smile.

A classic SearCo moment!
