He's The Past

Sammy invited me over to hang out with some of his old friends in some kind of skate park. I didn't feel nervous or anything, they are his friends so I need to accept them.

We drove to the skate park and saw a group of boys sitting down and laughing. Must be his friends, I thought.

We got out of the car, and of course those boys were his friends.

As we walked closer I saw a face I hadn't seen in ages.

Luke? Who is Luke, you may wonder. Well, let's just say we dated for a while...

He was my boyfriend from two years ago. We broke up because we both lost the 'spark'. There were no hard feelings, but it was just too awkward to keep contact.

I furrowed my brows and harshly swallowed. We came closer and I started to feel nervous as hell. "What's wrong, babe? You look like you just saw a ghost."

I shook my head and smiled."I'm fine. Just a little tired." He nodded and we were now at the group of boys.

Sammy greeted them and stood next to me again. I refused to look at Luke.

"Aye, meet my girl, (Y/N)." He intertwined our hands and smiled.

"Sam pussy-whipped Wilkinson!" I heard someone shout. I laughed and shook my head.

"Y/N?" Luke asked. I looked at him and bit my lip.

"Luke." I nodded at him and he smiled.

"I haven't seen you in ages! You look great." I friendly smiled at him and tried to not pay attention to Sam's face expression.

He never knew this. I never even knew they were friends. "Thank you, so do you." Sam fakily coughed to get our attention again.

"Uh, you guys know each other?"

"We sure do." Luke grinned. God, please don't do this. Sam furrowed his brows and looked at me. "Your girl used to be my girl." He winked at me and laughed.

What the hell was he thinking?

Sammy kept clenching his jaw and hovered over me. "You never told me this." He said with a slight chance of anger in his voice.

"I never knew you were friends with Luke!"

"You should've fucking tol-"

"Wilkinson! That was twl years ago! Bro, I was playing. No need to be mad." Luke said while interrupting him.

"Thank you!" I yelled.

"(Y/N), you never even said a word about Luke." Sam told me.

"Why should I? He's the past, babe."

"Alright, I've had enough. Let's go." Some guy said while grabbing his longboard and going somewhere with some others.

"I better go." I grabbed my bag and turned around. But Wilkinson had other plans.

"Sorry for reacting that way. I mean, if my ex-girlfriend said 'Your man used to be mine.' you'd lose your shit too right?"

"You're right." I chuckled.

"You sure you don't wanna stay?" He asked.

"I'm fine, babe. Go have fun. I'll see you tonight." I smiled.

Seeing a group of guys skating for a couple of hours wasn't very entertaining after all.

Sammy leaned in and kissed me forehead. "You're amazing."
