Dylan's POV
"New year, new me."
That's what I said at the beginning of the year. It's still a new year, just same old shitty stupid me. I'm still the Captain and Quarterback of the Football team. I'm still popular. I still have my money. I still have 2 cars. I still have my hot "girlfriend". And, I still got my good looks.
So, yeah sure, "new me".
Well, I think it is a new me. I think I look better.
Right now I was looking at myself in the mirror and after that, I grabbed my backpack and walked down the stairs, scrolling through my phone when I got a text from Rico.
Rico 🏈: We'll b waiting 4 u on the field. C ya.
Me: Cool. C ya there.
I took the keys from the counter and saw a note next to them. It was from my dad. I rolled my eyes and crumpled it up without reading it and throwing it into the garbage.
Wow! My jump shots are getting better.
----
I made my way into my parking spot in the school student parking lot and parked the car. I stayed there for about five minutes, scrolling through my phone before I locked it and got out of the car. I walked over to the field to see all the guys standing there either in their Jerseys or their Letterman's Jackets.
If you didn't know, everyone was coming back from spring break. Most of my friends are on the Football Team with me and some on the Basketball team. We're all Seniors except for Tommy who's a Junior but he's our age. He got left back in the tenth grade so he couldn't play for a while but he came back better than ever.
When they noticed my presence, Sam threw me the ball after yelling "Hey Dyl! Think fast!"
I tossed my bag on the ground and started moving a little bit back, waiting for the ball to fall into my hands.
I guess I went too far back because I ended up bumping into someone. I turned around to make sure the person was okay and the ball made an impact with my back, knocking me forward and pushing the girl I bumped into. Me landing on top of her.
"Shit. Really dude?! You couldn't have at least be aware of where you were going?" The girl said and I quickly got up. I know I recognized her from somewhere. She definitely goes to school here. I've seen her around but I know her from something else.
I reached my hand out and she waved me off, rolling a little bit back and jumped into her Timberland covered feet. She was beautiful. She had long brown Auburn hair with natural highlights at the tips and in certain strips of her hair.
What?
My mom's a hair stylist, occasionally.
She picked up the ball that was next to her bag and looked at me for a second before pulling her hand back. "Uh, you shouldn't do that. Football isn't really a game for a girl." She chuckled and threw the ball perfectly to Rico.
Whoa
"You were saying?" She smirked before winking, picking up her bag and walking with her friends. I looked at her grungy style as she walks away from my life as quickly as she entered it.
I heard an all too familiar annoying voice snap me out of my trance and I turned around to mouth to mouth with Stephanie. I widened my eyes but eventually gave in because she was such a good kisser. I eventually pulled away because the boys started whooping and whistling.
I slung my bag over my right shoulder and my left arm over Steph's shoulders.
"Are you guys just gonna stand there or are we going inside?"I asked them and they nodded and we headed inside the building for the morning rush.
Roxy's POV
"Did you guys hear about the girl who completely made a fool out of Dylan?"Kara said to Nema.
"You mean like, Quarterback of the school's Football team Dylan?"Nema asked and I just smiled to myself and accidentally let out a small laugh.
"Do you know something we don't, Roxy?"Kara asked me and I immediately shut up.
"Well, if you must know, that girl-" I took a small pause while I closed my locker. "-was me." They looked at each other surprised. Then they looked back at me. "And I want to know, how the hell did the news travel that fast? It literally happened not even 15 Minutes ago."
"Well, this is Carter High School, everything travels fast." I looked away from Kara, laughing at what she said. I realized how slow we were walking and realized it was the guys in front of us.
"Except for the students in the halls," I muttered but the loud enough so the girls heard me.
"HEY, CAN YOU SPEED IT UP?!" Nema raised her voice, tapping the guy in front of us. He turned around and we saw him wearing a Letterman's Jacket. I think his name was, Sam?
"Hey, sorry." He was looking at Nema dead in the eyes with the brightest smile.
What has happened?
Before spring break, these guys didn't even know we existed.
Now all of a sudden, we're eye candy to them?
All I want is for Stephanie to not come after me for this morning. She's literally the most clingy girlfriend I've ever met. If you even touch a single strand of hair on Dylan's head, she will cut off all of yours.
"Xy!" I snapped out of my thoughts. "Come on! We're gonna be late for Math." I nodded my head as Kara grabbed my hand and dragged me to this dreadful class.
I hate math but I am good at it. For some odd reason.
Mental

Humans
See? Evil!
----
I walked through the door of the classroom and immediately, Kara sat next to Nema me who had gotten here before us and I saw there were no other seats open aside from two in the back.
Damn
I walked over there, slung my bag on the floor and started to take out my stuff for the class as I sat down.
After I got everything, I opened my notebook and started writing about anything that popped into my head.
Four minutes into that, someone sat next to me. I didn't want to look but I think I eventually had to.
"Do you have a pencil I can borrow?" I could tell it was a guy from the voice and I recognized that voice.
I slightly shook my head to the side to move the hair from my face and gave him the pencil I was using. I didn't bother looking up since I wasn't in the mood to mingle exactly in this subject.
"Here. Keep it."I said simply and he smiled at me as he took the pencil.
"Thanks."
