A rush of relief washed over Keegan’s face, “Okay good. Let’s get you out of those clothes first and you can take a bath. Then I will tell you, okay?” I nod my head. “Good, wait here a second.” He walks out of the bathroom and closes the door behind him. When he was gone, I soak in my surrounds of the beautiful bathroom. There were hardly any windows and I felt safe and protected in here, even if it is just a bathroom. A couple seconds later, the reality set in. I was in Keegan’s house. I was supposed to be mad at him.
Keegan came back with some clothes folded neatly in his hands. He shut the door and locked it without turning around. He came to where I was sitting and laid the clothes down beside me and then walked over to the giant bath tub and twisted the knobs and the sound of water filled the bathroom.
“How are you feeling?” he asked. I shrugged my shoulders. I’ve barely said anything to him since I confessed about where I’d gotten my bruises. I watched as he felt of the water, checking the temperature of it and opening a cabinet that was right beside the bathtub. He grabbed a purple-looking jug and started pouring the liquid in the water. After a couple of minutes, the water got higher and I could see bubbles starting to show as the water got higher. I smiled a little as I watched the bubbles getting bigger.
Keegan finally turned the water off and turned to me. He walked over and stood in front of me. “Need any help?” He asked motioning toward my still soaked sweatshirt. As much as I hate to admit, I do need help lifting this thing above my head. I frowned and nodded. He smiled. “Relax, I won’t look, I promise.” I nod and he came closer to me. He stared into my eyes and started to lift my sweatshirt over my head slowly, not to hurt me. My heartbeat raced as I watched his purple eyes swirling into mine.
When it was finally off, I let out the air I’d been holding and looked down at my bruises and scars. I frowned at one that seemed to stick out the worse. I looked back up at Keegan and he just stared at it with a soft-concerning emotion. He reached out and gently ran his finger over it. My body started getting tense as his hot finger ran over my cold skin. My breathing started to act up on me and I felt the butterflies erupt in my tummy. He then lifted me up gently and sat me back on the floor.
“Finish unchanging then you can get in.” he nodded towards the tub. “I’ll be right back.” With that, he walked out the door and left me to my thoughts. I finished taking my clothes of and I slowly climbed in the giant tub. It was more like a hot tub. It even had seats! I sat down in one and leaned my head against the back of tub and stared at the ceiling. I let the wonderful scent of lavender fill my nose and I smiled.
I don’t know why he was doing all this for me. Just months ago we hated each other and now, I don’t know what to think. He just drives me crazy in all different ways, but I don’t how I feel about it. He looks so concerned when he is around me, and then when Vivienne comes around all they do is make out. He did leave her though to see if I was okay. Now, I think he is going to kill her.
A couple minutes to myself and I wondered when Keegan was going to tell me what he had to say. He was frustrating me greatly. My hands started looking like prunes so I decided to get out. I dried myself off and slipped the clothes on carefully. It was some gray sweatpants that were a little too big and white shirt that slipped off my shoulders. I turned the light off and started exploring the house looking for Keegan. I turned right and started to walk down the giant hallway. I walked slowly, looking at anything and everything.
I came to a picture in the middle of the hall of a man. He wasn’t very old at all and had a very sophisticated face. Right beside the picture was dark brown wolf with golden eyes. It looked like it was posing for the camera. I tore my eyes away from the picture and continued down the hall. A little further down and I came to a creepy looking door. It was made of metal and looked a little rusty and old. I heard painful cries of pain inside and curiosity got the best of me. I reached my hand out to the door handle and about to open when someone standing behind me made me freeze.
