Chapter 13: Mending a Breaking Heart

Start from the beginning

"I checked there! Gone! Either you have a shit memory or someone here is a thief."

I stopped looking around the cabinets and jumped down from the counter. "Where the hell did it ... Arion!"

As if summon, Arion entered the kitchen. She wore, what I guessed to be, a very lacey black bra over her top section and a pair of dangerously short shorts, barely covering both ass cheeks. She also supported a pair of black 6-inch boots that laced up to her knees and her makeup was done with layers of red, black, and gold.

"Change. Now." I ordered, pointing her back in the direction she came from.

"You're not my mother." She sassed, running her hands through her long hair and making a kissy face in the microwaves reflection.

"No, I'm your older sister who can strangle you in your sleep and make the rest of your life miserable. Change."

I could tell the disgust lurking onto her face, obviously pissed.

"It's a basketball party Arion, not 'Let's get high and fuck a guy' party. Besides, I'm protecting you from the creepy weird rapists that might show up. So tuck those boobs back to where they came from and change."

I actually noticed her trying to conceal her laughter, before marching back upstairs and closing her bedroom door.

Remembering, I yelled after her. "Arion! Where the hell did you put the speaker from the gym?"

"It's in the workout room near the weight stack, you would know this if you actually went in there!" Ah, there was the Arion I new.

"I go in there more than you do shit-head!" After finding a stack of plastic cups tucked into the deepest corner of the cabinet, I ran to our weight room and grabbed the oversized speaker.

"Honey! I'm home!" I recognized that goofy tone from anywhere, hearing a grunt of pain following afterward.

I made my way back to the kitchen to find Carter and Beck unloading groceries onto the counter. "Hello..." I spoke, dragging out the O"

Beck smiled and Carter made an effort to wave over her shoulder as she poured chips into a large bowl. I laughed at the amount of food that covered the table. Sodas, chips, cookies, salsa, water, beer, and pizza rolls cover the table.

"Beck, this is a basketball party. I don't think I want these many people around to get drunk." I stated, taking the beer case from the counter.

"This-" Carter said, reaching over my shoulder and grabbing the case. "-are not for the party. They are for your padre, a thank you for letting us throw your party."

"And this is your you're welcome my dear." My dad grabbed the case from her hand quickly and replaced it with a 20 dollar bill. I watched Carter roll her eyes before sneakily setting the bill behind her on the counter.

"Honey lets go, we are going to be late!" Mom yelled, walking into the kitchen in a pretty blue dress that exposed her rounded belly.

"I'm coming. E, Beck, you two know the rules. No one in your mother's studio or in the weight room, also I want you to lock the pool room after 11ish, and-"

"We got it, dad, you can trust us. Besides, we are practically just having the regulars over; we'll be fine." I stated, pushing my dad towards the door.

"Okay okay." He leaned down and kissed my cheek "I'll see you tomorrow morning E. Take care Beck, Carter."

"Bye!" We all said in unison

As soon as we heard the door click shut, I let out a large sigh and looked back to see Carter's arms crossed firmly over her chest.

"What?"
