Mia hesitates before she starts talking.
"Well...we were on our way to the cafeteria, but we decided to wait for you outside of class. After a while, Jake comes out of the door looking murderous, and a couple of seconds later, Regan comes after him..." she says.
"And?" I ask.
"The exact words?" Mia asks and I nod.
"What's up with you man? Why are you pissed off?" Regan asked.
"Don't even act like you don't know" Jake said, fuming.
"What are you talking about man?"
"Come on Regan! I told you that she's mine and yet every chance you get you're all over her!"
"If you liked the girl you would have done something by now! Stop blaming your cowardness on other people and take charge, cause if you don't, I will."
After Regan said that, Jake punched him in the face and went off into the parking lot.
"So who do think they were talking about?" I asked, and Adam and Mia just stared at me.
"What? Do I have something on my face?" I asked.
"It's you" Mia said
Adam rolled his eyes and said, "They were talking about you"
"Who was talking about me?"
"Jake and Regan! I must say, you go girl, You have two of the hottest guys in school fighting over you" Adam said.
"Come on guys! You don't honestly think that they were talking about me do you?" It was ridiculous.
"Then who else would they be talking about?" Mia asked, seeming pissed off.
"I don't know, probably that whore Tiffany or someone else up there in the social ladder"
"Don't know..." Adam said.
The rest of the day passes in a blur. I'm too worried about Jake to concentrate on anything. What if something happens to him? No one knows where he went.
At 2.30, I decide to leave. I don't have any lessons after that, and school is just too depressing. I don't want to go home yet, so I take a walk to the beach.
I sit beside some rocks and take my sketch book out and start sketching. A couple of minutes later, some small pebbles start falling on top of my head.
"Sorry!" a voice I recognize said from on top of the cliff.
"It's ok!" I said, loud enough for the person to hear me.
A few seconds later, he comes down, he being Jake.
"Hey...sorry about the pebbles, I didn't think there was anyone down here..." he said, rubbing the back of his neck.
We stand there awkwardly until he breaks the silence.
"So...can I see your art?"
"Yeah...sure" I said, handing him my sketch book, and then taking my seat near the rocks.
He sits down next to me, and I can feel the heat radiating from him.
