I awoke to sunlight streaming into the windows. I put my hand over my face covering my eyes, then felt his fingers trailing up my leg making me smile. "Good morning, Levi," I murmured smiling.
"Morning my beautiful fiancé." He planted a kiss on my forehead and I dropped my hands moving his lips down to mine. I adjusted so that he was on top of me, he put his hands on my waist then lifted his head smiling down at me. "Today I find out what team I go to."
I grinned up at him bitting my lip. "Are you excited?" I whispered moving back from under him and propping my head up with my hand, my elbow sinking into the bed. He placed his body the exact position facing me.
He nodded excitedly, I bit my lip and leaned forward to kiss him softly. "I am excited for you. I know you've wanted to be a pro baseball player since we were kids and its close to being a reality."
He smiled. "Thanks babe."
I giggled. "Anytime babe." He laughed huskily at me before getting out of bed in his grey sweat pants.
"I am going to take a shower," he said.
"Okay," I replied smiling.
His looked filled with desire. "Do you want to join me?"
I grinned mischievously shaking my head 'no'. He cocked his head to the side and stalked over to me in the bed scooping me out and into his arms. Chastely, he left a kiss on my lips. "Are you sure?" he asked softly looking down at me.
I grinned with my arms around his neck. "Do you want me with you in there?"
His brows furrowed, then he rose an eyebrow. "Is that a rhetorical question?"
I laughed. "Yes, Levi," I answered. "Baby, I'm in your arms and I haven't asked to be put down." I traced his unshaven jawline. "What do you think that I want to do?"
He grinned and walked toward the bathroom with me in his arms.
An hour later after our shower I was in the kitchen making breakfast. Levi and I had decided to get an apartment on the gulf coast, in biloxi, so that we were somewhat close to our parents but still a good distance away. We were about an hours drive from home. He'd just gotten back from his summer games a week ago after he left the night we got engaged.
I love being near the beach. It hadn't been the same after the oil spill but I still love it. I was dressed in a big shirt of Levi's and my fluffy pink house shoes.
Levi came around the corner from our room with his phone in hand, tapping it against his chin. I looked up from dishing sausage, french toast, eggs and grits onto both of our plates. "Did you get a call?"
He shook his head. "Not yet. It's a two day thing so I may not even find out today but I don't want to miss the call. They start the conference call tonight for the draft. The scout will call me as soon as I get drafted. Hopefully I know tonight."
I put our plates on the table, then walked over to Levi in the doorway. "Baby," I said wrapping my arms around his waist, "you have nothing to worry about. You know the game just as well as any other rookie coming in. You're one of the top pitchers in the SEC, top ranked out of MLB prospects for 2013, and your one hell of a ball player. You'll get the call," I finished trying to reassure him.
He nodded, then bent to kiss me. "Thank you."
I smiled. "Of course." I took his hand in mine and led him to the table. "Now let's eat."
I could hear him sniffing the air. "I love you," he said distractedly.
I smiled to myself. "Is it because I can cook?"
