The night before, phone conversation....

"So what do you think we should do?" I asked, laying on my bed.

"I'm not sure, but let's meet right after classes are done, at that bakery on Olympic Blvd and 8th St. Sound good?" he says, responding from the other end of the line.

"Okay, see you then," I said, somewhat relieved and hung up, ending the call. "I just hope, whatever Damian has got in mind, will help bring an end to all this pointless, meaningless war between both of our groups and soon. We can't risk ourselves getting caught by the cops getting the wrong idea and jumping to the wrong conclusions," I whisper to myself with half hope. Hopefully, once both groups see with their own eyes, things will go back to the way things were before.

The next day after school, at the bakery....

"Yes, we would like two cream-puffs, one coke and one milk tea with boba, please," he says, placing our order. "Yes sir. Your order will arrive shortly," says the waiter with a bow and walking away with our order the kitchen. "Right, so. What did you have in mind to bring an end to this mess we have going on?" I ask, applying some lipgloss. "Well, what I've thought of may not only be risky, but it may also  be dangerous. However, I need to know if you're willing to do this with me," he says, looking at me dead in the eyes. From the look of his facial and eye expression, it looks like he wasn't kidding. Without a thought, and seeing that there's no other way around, "Whatever it takes to end this war between our clans; it's a risk I'm willing to take," I said, determinedly with sincerity. Relief coarse over him. "Good. That's great that you're willing to do this with me. But the way I see it, I don't think either of us has a choice, and I'm sorry to say but, I just don't see any other way around this," he says.

I nodded and finish up my cream-puff and drink. "I'll pay you back," I said, getting up from my seat and collecting my favorite purse. "Nah, it's okay. No need, so don't worry about it," he says, wavering his dismissively, also finishing his cream-puff and drink, getting up and paid the bill.

I was just about two feet outside from stepping out the bakery doors when suddenly.. My hand was pulled from behind me as I was spun around and our lips pressed together. Me, caged in against his firm chest. His arms, wrapped around in embrace and my hands placed against chest. I'm lost in thought from his kiss. We stayed like that for at least 10 minutes until we broke apart to catch our breath. "What was that about?" I asked, breathlessly. "I've been having these feelings for you for sometime now and, I guess, I just couldn't hold it in anymore. I have a feeling that you've been feeling the same way about me. Come on, tell the truth," he says, demanding for my answer. I'm taken by surprise but I also knew he was right. So, I gave in. "Well, there's no denying it. But how did you know?" I asked, curiously defeated. "The very few times you avoided me, the tiniest hint of blush on your cheeks whenever we talked that had nothing to do with our duties and clans, and how intense you seemed around me. It was the very same thing I had been dealing with around you. So, I figured that you might've been feeling around me," he says, coolly with a knowing smirk.  Then, my own emotions took over and I just  burst back into his arms and returned the kiss. He was surprised at first but immediately took me back in embrace, kissing back.

We stayed like that for at least 10 minutes and broke off to catch our breath. "Once all of this is done and over with, let's go somewhere just the two of us," he says. "Where will we go?" I asked curiously, with hope. "You'll see," he says, with a wink followed by a smirk. With that, he disappears among the crowd of the busy sidewalk without a trace.

I can still feel the kiss planted on my lips. What is happening to me? I have never once felt anything like this before; not even way back in high school.
