Prologue

Brooklyn's pov

"I'm walking down with him..." I murmur to myself.

"Sorry babes... it's just one day." Lauren said..

"Ugh I guess so.. I picked the right best friend.."

"Last day, we have so much to do. And most of the day is rehearsal.."

"Great..."

Intercom- all seniors to the gym for rehearsal.

"Let's go.." I say

"I'm not ready.." Lauren says..

"I'm walking with him.. c'mon."

"Ok."

Grayson's pov

I quickly looked at my walking partner. Ugh it was her... great.

--skipped to gym--

Alright everyone find your partner and find a seat.

I searched for her. Ugh I am not looking forward to this...

I finally spotted her.
Hello.

I only got partner up with her because her last name is Dolton . Ugh.

"Alright line up in this particular order and don't forget where you stand with your partner."

The teacher went through the order and we finally got called.

Brooklyn's pov

At least the good part of this was I was right behind Lauren but she got Ethan and I got Grayson.

Ugh.. he makes me so mad..

"So princess..."

"Don't call me princess."

"Woah.. wtf did I ever say or do?"

"You should know."

"So what I picked on you a few times throughout school."

"Whatever."

"Okay everyone. Latch arms with your partner.

"Ugh.." we say at the same time.

We awkwardly latch arms.

"Alright. I see you guys all have that down. Now... walk casually down the walk way. "

We did this throughout the whole day.

So tomorrow is graduation..

Brooklyn's pov

I curled my hair. Put a little amount of makeup and got in my cap and gown. It was blue. My mom drove me to the school and there I met Lauren.

"Nervous?" I say.

"Yep."

"But bell with it tho... we don't have to deal with all these damn teacher anymore and no homework... we can move on with our lives. And get boyfriends and grow up get married.. have kids you now."

"Yea... how much coffee did you have this morning?" Lauren says.

"None. Why?"

"I've never heard that come outta your mouth."

"Oh.."

Intercom -all seniors line for graduation.

We found our spots.

"Don't trip on the way up." Grayson says.

"Same goes to you...ass."

"Geez."

We finally start walking. I have butterflies in my stomach. I latched my arm with Grayson's..

The teachers wanted to put a slight twist on everything. And made us sit with our partners .

Ugh... that's worst then what was planned.

The teachers gave their speech and we finally got to the graduation part after an hour...

We'd get called up with Our partners..

After like ten minutes.. "Grayson and Brooklyn."

This is it ..

We latch arms and go up.

I grab my diploma and Grayson walks back down with me.

It took another hour before we could get done with this. When everyone got through we threw our hats and after when to go find them.

I walked out with Lauren.

"So what now?" I ask.

"Sleepover?"

"Sure I'm up."

"We should go camping.".

"Even better."

"Mkay let's go find our parentals."

Of course we found the sitting together.

"Hey mom." I said hugging her.

"I'm so proud." My dad says.

"So Lauren and I are gonna go on a camping trip... to celebrate."

"When will you guys be back?" My mom looked so concerned.

"Next week no longer."

"Ok.." my mom still looked concerned..

"Honey can I talk to you real quickly.." my mom asked

"Yea. Then can we go home?"

"Yea."

I walk with her outside.

"After your trip we have to talk.."

"Ok. Is everything ok?"

"Yea."

I walked back in.

I pulled Lauren a side.

"Yo. I can't go.."

"But why??" Lauren whined.

"Something is up.. maybe in a few weeks."

"Promise?"

"Yes."

"Ok."

"Bye Lauren... text me." As I started walk to see my parents walking out.

I got in the car.

My mom got it with my dad.

"Mom. I decided not to go.."

"Grea-" mom started but then stopped.

I'm worried about my mom..

Grayson's pov

I'm glad I got that over with. After I took pictures with Ethan. Then got in our car.

"Boys.." my mom started

"We have stuff to talk to you about.."

"Um ok?"

"Save it until we get home babe." My dad says.

"Ok."

Later that night.

I was kind of listening in on my parents. They we on a phone o th someone..

"So we agreed that......" I couldn't understand that last part.

I ran up to Ethan..

"Bro.. I'm kinda worried about mom... I mean what I'd she's making up go to a boarding school?"

"Idk... but same..."
