"Gora sent me through it before, she sent me through it the night I found you at the pool house, and I'm not a demon, I'm just dead" He looked at Damien as he spoke the last word. Damien's head snapped up.
"That was you?"
"So what do I have to do?, tell me?"
"You need to take a Demon's blood"
"I'll do it, I'll do whatever it takes, give it to me"
"I'm not a demon Amy, I'm dead"
"And is Amanda willing take a Demons blood" I looked at Damien leaning against the wall as if the devil herself wasn't at our doorstep. My chest rose and fell as he pushed himself off the wall and walked over to me. "Are you?"
"I don't have a choice, do I" I spat the words at him as if they were a curse. "Just do what you have to and get me the fuck out of here" Saying the words alone made my heart pound faster threatening to beat out of me chest.
"Give me our hand" I put my hand out and he took in in his cold cruel grip and undid the bandage Tyler had wrapped around it.
"After thins I want nothing to do with you" My words were sharp and cold when I spoke them" "This won't make me like him will it?" I didn't miss the sly grin the rose in the corner of his mouth.
Damien lifted his hand to his mouth. A dark red droplet of blood fell from his lips and splashed against the porcelain skin of my forearm. Before Tyler answered me he removed his hand from his mouth and made a fist, dropping droplets of his blood into my open wound. I winced at the feeling of his blood seeping into my flesh. The whole thing nauseated me.
"Ok wrap it up we need to go, now" Damien reapplied my bandage quickly and walked over to the pool of black water.
"Damien!" The dreadful hoarse voice or Gora sounded outside the room. My eyes swelled up with tears and tried hard not to pass out from fear.
"Get in!"
"How do you even know it worked?!"
"We don't have time to check Amy" Tyler looked at the door and then back at me with a panicked look.
"Guess now's a great time to fund out" Damien picked me up and threw my over his shoulder running me over to the pools edge. "I'll see you on the other side" He took his arms from around me and I screamed as I fell back into a long tunnel of heat and darkness, hearing the door burst open as I fell for what seemed like hours.
Damien
"Amy?, Amy wake up"
"Did it go wrong?"
"No, she fine" I carefully pulled the soft fabric of the cloth over her as she lay disheveled on the cold ground. Her eyes were closed and she wasn't breathing, but it wasn't uncommon for someone's first time through. I watched as her eyes moved beneath her lids and fluttered open. She coughed and sat up quickly sucking in air into her deprived lungs.
"That's it, you're ok" The cemetery's ground was covered in a low fog and the moon was high in the night sky casting an illuminating glow over us.
"We need to get away from hear, we need to leave now"
"Were fine, there's some time before another can pass through, she won't come before tomorrow night" I patted Amy's back as she struggled to get air into her lungs.
"It's not her I'm worried about. There...there are others" I looked up at Tyler pacing back and forth.
"Did we make it, did we make it through" Amy choked out still gasping for air.
