Amy
The hall of Groa's estate was dark and cold, expected being that I was in the cruel depths of hell. I was freezing in the thin silk black robe, with only my skin beneath. The walls leaked with an unmentionable liquid, and the horrid smell did well to compliment it. Tyler held me close as we turned the corner, running down yet another hallway in our quick escape from Gora. Damien was quietly behind us. He hadn't spoken one word to me since we left the room and I quietly thanked god for that. I hated him, I despised him with every morsel of my body and mostly because I made the ungodly mistake of kissing him, actually thinking there could be something that would make giving him a chance worth it.
I still hadn't completely come to terms that this was all real, and if I was, I just witnessed him killing a woman, and he came too close to killing me as well, if it weren't for Tyler. The thought wildly infuriated me. I clenched my fists at my side and quickly regretted it, feeling the sharp sting of my knife wound, the knife wound he gave me. I hissed at the painful sting and Tyler took my hand in his and fixed the bandage he wrapped around it. When he looked at me his eyes seamed much softer than they were when I first saw him.
"This way" We entered a dark long stairwell and the smell got worse. I wanted to close my eyes afraid of what I would find at the bottom I already witnessed her dreadful creatures and Damien's other half, I don't think I could handle much more. "Hurry, she won't be feeding for long"
"This is useless, I know her better than you slave boy"
"Are you sure about that runaway, you've been away for quite some time" Damien's jaw became hard and sharp, and a dark cloud of black washed over his eyes. The stair down between the both of them filled the stairwell with enough hate and tension then I could take.
"Well he's the only one with an option, so I'm taking it" I sent him a cold look and turned away as Tyler led me down the stairs quickly. The floors were wet and steam rose from a nearby drain that filled the place with the pungent smell it oozed. He led us down the hall to a tall back door.
"Tyler, what is this place?" My voice was low and unsteady, and my cut stung against my sweaty palms. He undid the latch on the door and pushed it open. A rush of cold air blew past me and just as I lifted my foot to take a step into the room the loud monstrous roar of Gora shook the hallway. My heart took a sharp dive into the pit of my stomach and my breathing stopped. Both Tyler and Damien looked down the hallway and for the first time I saw fear on Damien's face.
"Can't she do that poof thing and get to us?!"
"Not down here, but she has legs and she can run"
"Get in, now!" Damien pushed my stone cold unmoving body into the room and Tyler secured the latch behind it. In the center of the room lay what looked like a large black bird back bird bath. The water inside it was dark and still, something didn't seem right about it. The unmistakable roar of Gora sounded down the hall again.
"Tyler how do we get out of here?!"
"Are you fucking kidding me, this is your big idea slave boy?" Damien threw his hand up and walked around the pool of dark water speaking in his dark language. "The window is only for us to leave, only for the demons to pass through. Amy is human it won't work" Damien let out a dry laugh. "You just fucking killed us all"
"No, I found another way. All you need is demon blood; the pond works as long as you have demon blood in your veins"
"And what make you think that slave boy?"
"Guys, we don't have much time, please figure this out now!" My heart was drumming wildly against my chest and I was about to pass out from lack of air.
