About an hour into the dance, the band changed to play the latest tune from the American band player, Glenn Miller; 'Moonlight Serenade'. Rafe held out his hand towards Anne and she accepted. Walking to the floor, he pulled her into position and they slow danced in time. Anne looked from behind Rafe's shoulder and saw Peggy and Jimmy sitting at the bar and exhaled happily. They had gotten married three days after Jimmy's twenty-fourth birthday. Rafe exhaled happily too. "So, tell me about yourself Miss Anne." Rafe whispered into her ear as they swayed. Anne smiled and whispered, "I'm Anne. I'm nineteen. I am a nurse. Peggy is my sister and I like going to the pictures." Rafe chuckled and held Anne closer. Anne sighed and relaxed. She looked into Rafe's eyes and asked him the exact same question. "The name is Rafe. I was born in New York City. I'm an only kid and I, too, love going to the pictures." Anne cocked her head to the side slightly and giggled. They had been dancing for a long time and then the music finally came to an end. The two stayed in position for a few seconds extra, staring into one another's eyes when an almighty sound whined through the air.
