I woke up from my alarm. Damn, time for school already. Instantly, I remembered the kiss I shared with Cameron and a huge smile crept up on my face. I got out of bed and took a shower. After I took a shower, I got dressed and went to get some breakfast. After I ate breakfast, I grabbed my backpack and when I was about to open the door, I got a text from Cameron.
Haze, I will pick you up. You better be ready;) -Cam<3
Say what? I'm going to school with Cameron?
A huge smile crept on my face. I decided to sit on my porch. A couple minutes later, Cameron showed up. His usual boy-ish self.
Damn, good looking.
"Hey," he greeted.
"Hi," I greeted back.
"Hop on," he winked while handing me a helmet.
I hopped on and buckled the helmet. After that, I held onto his godly body. A couple minutes later, we showed up at school. People were giving us, or me odd looks.
"Why are they staring at me like that?" I asked Cameron.
"A nerd and a badass together? Who wouldn't stare?" he smirked.
"Very funny," I said sarcastically.
"Of course," he winked.
"For the last time, I am not a nerd!"
"You can believe in anything you want," he smirked.
I sighed and Cameron chuckled.
"I'm heading to my locker, see you," I waved and left.
When I got to my locker, I took out my Chemistry book. Then I locked it and all of a sudden, I was pinned against the lockers.
"Stay away from Cameron, whore. He's mine and only mine. If you get near him again, who knows what I'll do," she smirked.
I pushed her off of me and said, "Why don't you make him yours then?"
"Cause, bitch. You are always up in his business. Do you think he likes girls who are like that? Do you think that he'll like you back? You are pathetic," she sneered.
"Pathetic?" I said in disbelief.
"Of course. Cameron would never go for a girl like you. He probably used you for your virginity only," she laughed.
"You know nothing about me, or about us. So, just mind your own damn business," I said, trying to keep calm.
"You bitch! Cameron is my business!" she screeched.
"Dogs are beautiful creatures. Thanks for the compliment," I replied.
"Huh, you mean beautifully ugly?" she smirked.
"Get your facts straight," I said, rolling my eyes.
"You know, I've always thought that you were a good girl. Turns out, Bren was right. You're a good for nothing easy to get slut," she sneered.
"Easy? Please, you're the one believing in the things that the biggest liar and asshole in the world said," I said, rolling my eyes.
With that, I walked to class and sat down. I was thinking when suddenly, Julian pulled a chair and sat next to me.
"Wait, you're in this class?" I asked, surprised.
"You didn't know?"
"No, I barely pay attention in here," I smiled sheepishly.
"I see why you didn't know," he chuckled.
I smiled and look down at my desk.
"Are you okay, Hazel?"
"Yeah, why do you ask?" I asked as I looked up.
"I don't know. You seem mad," he said.
"Don't worry. I'm fine," I smiled.
After a moment of awkward silence, I decided to ask, "Hey Julian, what do you think of Crystal?"
"I think she's really nice and sweet. Really wise too. And yeah, really pretty. I don't see why she doesnt have a boyfriend though," he said casually.
"Wow, you saw her once and you learned that much," I smirked.
His face heated up.
"Yeah, I'm thinking that maybe we can hangout again on Friday," he said.
"Yeah, do you want her number? I can give it to you," I offered.
"Thanks but she already gave it to me," he said beaming a smile.
"Geez, you bad boys don't seem so bad to me," I said jokingly.
"Well, it just depends," he smirked.
I was about to say something, but the teacher appeared and I turned my attention to the front of the class.
When class ended, I went to my other classes. The rest of the day zoomed by quickly.
When my school day was over, I walked to my locker to put my stuff away. After I was done, I decided to walk to Cameron's locker.
When I was about 2 feet away, I saw the unexpected. It was like ice cold water thrown on me.
Janice was kissing Cameron. She stopped when she saw me and smirked.
"Bye, Cammie," she purred.
I just stood there. Shocked. Most of all, hurt. It hurt so much more than when Bren lied to me. To think that I actually felt heartbreak was a lie.
I should've known, I scolded myself.
In a flash, tears where leaking out of my eyes when I tried holding it in. I don't know why I'm crying too. It's not like we're together or anything.
Cameron turned and saw me. I turned instantly and ran out of school. He was hot on my heels.
All of a sudden, he got grip on my arm and my body was crushed against his. I couldn't move away.
"Let go of me," I said calmly.
"Hazel! I'm so sorry. She just came onto me unexpectedly!"
I didn't know whether to believe him or not. So, I didn't say anything.
"Please. Let me go," I said quietly.
Cameron loosened his grip and I pushed him away. He seemed shocked, but he covered it quickly.
"I should've known," I said before giving him a weak smile.
"Haze, I am not like that! Please, believe me," he said, taking one of my hands.
I shook my head and pulled my hand back before I turned and walked away from him.
Why does these things always happen to me? Why do I always get involved in things like this when I know that it's screaming trouble?
"Hazel!" Cameron said, grabbing onto my hand again.
"Please, leave me alone. I can't do this right now," I said, trying to hold in the tears in my eyes.
Cameron contemplated whether to give up or not. Then, he finally gave in and let go of my hand.
I walked away to the park where we met. It was only a couple of blocks away. Maybe walking will help me clear my mind, I thought.
But, it didn't. It just made me think more. It made me have so many second thoughts. I think I'm about to lose it.
When I got to the park, I sat down under a tree and curled up next to it. Then, I let everything out. All my tears and emotions. Even though I was crying, I silently thanked that there were no people there. Because if there were, I'd look pathetic. Just like what Janice said.
I am pathetic and there is no point in denying it.
