Chapter 43

Graces POV
"That was nasty." Jacob says, and I giggle.

"We should probably get back to class..." I say, giggling. I walk to the door, but get pulled back.

"What's the rush?" Jacob asks.

"Well I don't want to get a tardy..." I say.

"Fuck tardies. We already got one anyways." Jacob says, and smiles at me.

"Well, what if Sydney reports us?" I ask.

"Fine. Wanna ditch?" He asks me. I've never ditched before... I don't know how I feel about this.

"Uh sure." I say, and smile at him. We walk out, but were merged by three very unhappy teachers. Shit. There goes our ditching plan. Jacob and I exchange nerves looks as the teachers glare at us.

"What are you guys doing in here?!" One of the teachers yells at us.

"Um... someone shoved us in here and the door was locked." I say.

"Then how did you just open it?" One of the teachers asks, raising an eyebrow. Ugh, I thought I could get through this year without a detention.

I drag my feet against the school floor as I stomp to after school detention.

"I can't believe we have to spend an hour in detention." I whine.

"Well at least we have it together." Jacob says, smiling at me. I swear this boy is playing with my emotions. He said he liked me, but he hasn't even asked me out yet. I know I sound selfish, but still. You don't confess your love for someone, make out with them, and then leave them alone. Right?

"True. I'm just glad they didn't watch the footage." I say.

"True. They would have been blinded by Sydney's face." Jacob whispers at me, and I laugh. We finally get into the room, and I groan. Sydney was sitting in there with her sidekicks. But there was a lot of people in here. Anne was in the corner with earbuds in both ears. She had her arms crossed and was doing her homework. Also Mark and Brandon were in here, no surprise. I look around and decide to sit next to Anne. Jacob looks around and then Hunter walks in. Wtf?! What did that twat do wrong?!

"Hunter! What did you do?" I ask.

"I accidentally pushed a kid down the stairs in gym class. You?" He asks.

"I was late to class because I was making out with Jacob in the closet." I say. Woah, I actually just admitted that. Without my face getting red!

"Woah wait, so are you guys like a thing now?" He asks me. I shake my head.

"Oh. Well let's go sit down by Anne!" He whisper shouts, and grabs my hand. He drags me over by Anne, where her and Jacob are having small talk.

"Hey guys! Hey Anne." Hunter says and smiles. Anne smiles back.

"Oh god. Just make out already." I say, and Jacob laughs. Hunter and Anne look at each like they're reading each other's minds.

"Would you guys cover of we go out the window?" Hunter asks. Anne looks at him and he looks back at her. They give each other a look and get very close. They whisper stuff into each others ear and giggle.

"Ok. We're um leaving." Anne says, all giggly. They both jump out the window.

"Wanna get outta here too?" Jacob says. I shrug, and Jacob takes my hand and out the window we go.
