21. Swimming in the sea of hope

Se Young's POV

"Happy Birthday, Jin oppa", I gave him the present. "Thanks, Se Young-a. You look so beautiful, by the way" He gave me a friendly hug. He scrolled his eyes around and I looked to my back. "Where's Jungkook?", he asked. "I am sorry. I don't know oppa", I looked down. "It's okay. Enjoy the party Se Young. There's our boys", he pointed to BTS

I gave him a smile and approached them. "Wow! Youngie, You look so gorgeous", Taehyung said. "Thanks, oppa", I smiled. "Where's your beloved husband?", Hoseok asked. "He'll be here after a while, I guess", I bit my lips

"I guess? What do you mean? You guys didn't come here together?", Namjoon asked. "We're going to, but he suddenly got somewhere to go so I have to come here by myself", I answered. "What the hell...", Jimin said

Yoongi was spacing out and Taehyung nudged him, "what?", Taehyung asked. "huh? Nothing", he just answered blankly.

I enjoyed their company, they made me forget about everything. We were chatting continuously and laughing hard like there's no one here. Jin couldn't join us longer since this is his party and he had to entertain the guests

"Oh!There he comes", Jimin signaled us to the direction where the familiar figure is coming. I looked at the entrance, but I was awed by what I saw. "What's that?", Taehyung asked. "Aish... That Jeon Jungkook", Yoongi mumbled

"Why didn't he come to the party with his wife but with the other girl? What the hell is that?", Jimin said. "She's not the other girl. She's Ha Yeon, Jungkook's childhood friend", Ho Seok said. Namjoon smacked his head, "Who the hell didn't know this? But still.... He should come with Se Young, not her"

"Yoon Se Young. Come down ppalli. The party is starting", Jungkook shouted from the downstairs. "I'm coming", I shouted back. I went to the downstairs, "Let's go", I said. When we got into his car, his phone rang. "Yobeoseyo", he answered

"Yah! Gwenchana?", he sounded worried

"It's a relief that nothing happened", He said

"Okay... I'll come and pick you up",he hanged up

"I have to go somewhere. You have to go Jin's party by yourself. I'll be there later", He said

So, he's picking up Ha Yeon. Ha Yeon is more important than me to him, I guess. It did a bit make me humiliated but I shouldn't, right? They're best friends but I am just a fake wife that means nothing to him

Ha Yeon linked her arm around Jungkook's. They're heading towards us. They looked good together, to be honest. I felt like I am already a person out of their world

"Heyy Guys, How have you been", He Yeon greeted to BTS. "Fine, Long time no see by the way", Nam Joon greeted back. "Ohh! Se Young-sshi, You're here? You look so beautiful tonight", She greeted me,too. "Neh, Ha Yeon-sshi, You too", I fake smiled

She surely is a sweet person but every time I see her, the situation didn't give me the guts to show her my real smile. That sucks of me, I should be the good one and optimistic but I couldn't

"Don't you think you should find Jin hyung and greet? Since this is his birthday party and he should know you're here", Jimin said. "Ahh... Right. So, have fun. I'm gonna find Jin oppa", she left us for a while

While she was gone, Yoongi broke the icy situation, "Yah! Why are you with her?", I saw Jungkook's eyes stuck on me, we did look into each other eyes but he broke the eye contact first. "Ha Yeon had a small accident on the way she's coming to Jin's party. So, I picked her up", Jungkook answered
