Jimin and I went to eat ramen together. It wasn't really close to the school, but it was close to our houses.
"Welcome to our restaurant!" We were greeted by a waiter and a waitress. "What would you like?"
"I'll take a Tokyo Tempura." I said, pointing to the item on the menu. "I'll have a Seafood Special." Jimin said as he handed the menus to the waiter.
"Euh? What?" I took a sip of water.
Do you wanna talk about it?"
"About what?...oh. That." I said.
Jimin stared at me, expecting me to burst into tears or something.
"I'm fine" I said with a shrug.
"No you're not. How can you be fine after being beat up?"
"I wasn't beat up. I just got splashed with food."
"They beat you up with words y/n. It's bullying. I can report them for that"
I rolled my eyes. As long as they don't do anything more than this, it's fine.
"It's fine. They're probably not going to do anything anymore. I'm honestly not hurt at all. Well maybe other than the fact that my shirt almost got ruined..."
"Jinjja?" I crossed my arms. "Do you think I'm that insecure? I understand we just met and stuff, but to think that all girls can break that easily...i'm more hurt from that than from what that girl did to me." I said.
"No, that's not what I meant at all. . . I'm just worried about you." As he said that, our food arrived.
"Let me go wash my hands first." Jimin said as he walked to the washroom.
"Are you 2 dating? I'm sure your lovers quarrel will subside soon. Hwaiting!" the waitress said.
"Ah-no. We-" she had already left before I could finish my sentence. I only think of him as a good friend.
After finishing lunch we headed home. Turns out Jimin also has a odd schedule due to the difference in education system between Korea and here.
I opened the door to my house and saw that there were the black shoes on the floor.
"MOM! Are you home?!" I ran into the kitchen, leaving Jimin behind.
"y/n-ah, i'm upstairs."
I entered my mom's room and found her packing things in a luggage.
"What's this?" I asked.
"I'm going to be leaving to do some things overseas for a while. It's like a doctor training program, you could say."
"WHAT?! Wait...how long?"
"I think maybe 'till the end of the school year." She continued to pack the things.
"THAT long?!" I wish I could somehow say no but these things were essential for her. Mom can't just reject such an offer because of her daughter.
"I'm sorry honey. I promise I'll get you a souvenir when I get back. Okay?" She patted me on the head even though I was already taller than her.
"Mkay." I muttered
As she walked down the stairs, I remembered that Jimin was following behind me until I saw mom's shoes. Oops.
"Oh, who's this?" My mom said as she saw Jimin sitting on the couch.
"Ah, a friend from school. Park Jimin." I said
"Oh, hi. My name is Park Jimin. I am a friend of y/n"Jimin stood up and bowed.
"Why, aren't you good-looking? Haha. Well I leave my y/n in your hands while I'm gone. I'll see you when you finish your exams!"
And like that, my mom left. Sigh~
"You okay?" Jimin tapped me on the shoulder.
"Yea. It's just...mm...I barely see her anymore." I looked down to my feet and wiggled my toes.
"Oh.. haha. Well we're both in the same situation. We can support each other, right?" Jimin flashed me a smile and gave me a hug.
I've literally put this book down for a bit because I had too many ideas for another book. BTW it's called Summer Nights. I wrote like almost 10 chapters in one day. Hehehe... But now I'm brainstorming some ideas for this one along with another one (Just a Friend) while listening to some classic BTS songs.
HAVE YOU GUYS WATCHED THE M/V FOR SAVE ME? I'm dead man. The irony in the song title and our reactions. haha.
Hope you guys liked this chapter! It's like a fill-in because I have 2 situations that need to somehow connect. And this is gonna be that.
See you in my next chapter and don't forget to smile! :)
