As usual, the biggest thank you goes out to anyone who read this story. It was truly a blast to write and I honestly had to stop so many times because it's hard to write when you're laughing so much. I hope you had to take breaks from reading to recover from your giggles.

I also want to extend a huge thank you to the real funeral directors of the world. It's a truly thankless job and one that I know for a fact that I wouldn't be able to do. You all deserve an unspeakable amount of credit. I also hope I haven't ruined anyone's perception of funeral directors. As far as I'm aware, Casket Shuffle isn't a real thing!

This story was inspired by two separate events that have happened in my life. The first was the scene where the motorcycle and hearse side car is mentioned. I genuinely saw this when driving home from work one day and it remains the most bizarre thing I've ever seen in my life.

The second event was my friend's wedding, where I was sat at a table with a man I'd never met. In order to break the ice, I asked what he did for a living. He told me that he ran his own funeral business and I honestly had nothing to say to that. Normally I tell jokes to make people more comfortable when meeting me for the first time but I really had no idea what kind of jokes to make about this mysterious profession. So being me, I made an inappropriate joke about taking a selfie at his work and the rest is history!

Lastly, but not far from least, I want to dedicate this story to the loving memory of all of those that are sadly no longer with us. I hope that wherever you are, you had a funeral as fun as the ones in this story. Rest in peace.
