Apparently Ford had some allies here in Rogaland, Norway. They allowed us to borrow their Canadair CL-215, which was similar to our XP 2112 except it was more heavily modified. The location Andrei wanted us to meet at was Preikestolen, at 3:00. In my opinion it was an odd meeting point, which had me slightly suspicious. He obviously knew there would be fighting, why would he choose such a perilous destination to meet up at? We could all easily fall off the fucking cliff. There were so many disadvantages with meeting up on a cliff like that, but I suppose there were a few pros. We were taking the aircraft to the top of the cliff, instead of wasting another tiresome four hours hiking up to it.
"What's different about this one?" I questioned as I stepped into the aircraft with Jade, tying my hair back with a plain black bandana.
"I was checking it out earlier, and I think it's with an installed front firing cannon and front firing mini guns. Plus it has this cargo hatch installed, as well as water bombing doors, through the water tanks," Jade informed me, taking a seat and buckling up her seatbelt. Vicky sat opposite to us, copying our actions with the seatbelt.
"Wow. You found out about all that in one observation?" I arched a brow, causing her to roll her eyes at me.
"No you dumbass. You know about my obsession of firefighting flying boat amphibious aircrafts," she knocked her elbow against my ribs playfully, trying to lighten up the tense mood.
"Of course, how could I forget?" I said sarcastically, folding my arms over my chest and letting out a heavy sigh.
Silence fell over us momentarily as I unwillingly occupied myself with my thoughts. My mind was loud with all kinds of ideas of what today was going to be like. I needed to be extra careful, watch Scarlett at all times and protect her. In all honesty, I just wanted to rush back to the safety of the aircraft as soon as I get her back. But I knew Vlad would never let that, the old me wouldn't either. But I guess I kind of wanted to shove Andrei off that cliff before we leave.
I was soon approached by Vlad, who cupped my shoulder reassuringly and offered me a rare tight smile.
"We'll get her back, don't worry too much, son," he squeezed my shoulder in assurance, as I nodded in gratitude.
