Even though it was the next day, my head was still buzzing. I couldn't look at Harry the same was after that almost-kiss. I mean, sure, I did have butterflies in my stomach, but did he like me too? Okay, no. I didn't like him.. Or did I? This is so confusing! Ugh. Maybe he would ask me out... Did I want him to ask me out? Love sucks Merlin's saggy left.
We were eating breakfast around the Weasley's table, and I was sitting next to Harry. Just my luck, right? I was having a chat with Mrs. Weasley about how cool her house was, when I saw something appear in the window out of the corner of my eye. It was blond messy hair, and those cold blue eyes. Then, there was a knock on the door.
"I'll get it," I said, with a growl to my tone. Everyone at the table noticed Malfoy walking up to the doors. I stood up, and took my wand out of my slipper boots. Harry stood up after I did, and softly told me, "I'll help," and had his wand in his hand.
We walked over to the door - me in front - and I opened the door, with my wand slightly raised. When it opened, the Pure-blood menace was looking at me with his cold eyes.
"This isn't going to involve you, Potter," was the first thing Draco Mafloy spat out. I clenched my teeth together, and tried not to punch him.
"Tell us what you want before I hex you, and send you to Canada," I hissed, and raised my wand a few inches higher.
"To talk," Draco said, then added, "with you."
"Too bad. If you want to talk to me, then you'll have to talk with Harry too," I told him sternly. "Or you can leave. Now." Draco's face was squashed in disgust. He started walking away. He was about thirty feet away, and he turned around and smirked at me.
"By the way, my mother told me who you were!" he shouted. "And if I were you, I would hate to be raised by a filthy man and his Mud-blood girlfriend. But it's too bad now, because they're both dead."
No way did he just say that. I knew he was talking about my father and mother. That was it. That was when I snapped, and moved to disarm him. I was too far away, and he was aware of the spell coming towards him. He quickly pulled out his wand and blocked it, so I ran towards him. Harry was shouting something behind me, but I wasn't listening. I heard footsteps running behind me, after me...
I shot another disarming spell at Dra- Malfoy. He didn't deserve to have me call him by his first name. Now, we were officially on a last-name basis.
He blocked the second disarming spell and shot a spell at me. My world started slowing down, I had an extra two seconds to block the spell, instead of a fifth of a second. My arms and body moved a lot faster than they usually would. I had battle reflexes. I was born to fight.
I shot a stunning spell at Malfoy, and prayed it would hit him. It didn't, but the next thing that happened wasn't called for.
"Crucio!" Malfoy said. I moved my wand in such a way, that it had probably looked like I was blocking the spell. Because of this, Malfoy shouted it again.
But I wasn't blocking the spell. I dropped my wand. Purposely. I felt a shove on my right shoulder, but the spell still hit me.
"Lexa!" Harry yelled after the first one had hit me, and the second was a foot away. Once the second one hit me, I was done for.
Lightning was spreading through my veins, and shocking me. My body was on fire, and my insides were burning. A thousand bees were stinging my heart.. A knife was slashing through my neck... It felt like death..
The pain was so intense. I felt weak, and finally ended up dropping to the ground, and that's when my mind went blank.
Harry's P.O.V.
----------------------------
She ran out after Malfoy, and I was following behind her. I was shouting at her to stop, and to come back.
She didn't listen. She never did.
Then, they started dueling. It was a short one too. I was right by her side though..
She dropped her wand, and got hit by the Cruciatis Curse. I don't know why she dropped her wand. As the first spell hit her and after the second one hit her, I tried to push her away, but she didn't move. She just stood there, hopeless, and got hit. She cringed for a second, and then fell to the ground. I caught her arms just in time, and held her up.
"You need to leave. Now," Hermione said to Malfoy with her wand pointed straight at him. Lexa's face looked like porcelain, cold and pale. I was holding in my anger as Malfoy turned suddenly and left. I was kneeling while holding up Lexa, and my two arms were holding up her upper-arms. I put one of my hands by her heart to try and feel her heartbeat, and when I touched her heart, I got sucked into darkness.
Lexa's P.O.V.
"Come and take a walk with me." I told Harry as he appeared in my visions. I held out my hand to him, and he gingerly walked forward and held it. Everything was blurry and faded, but I knew this was real. It was really because Harry was there, standing by my side. We both took a step forward, and were pulled into a swirl of blurs.
"James!" a cheerful voice said, and things started to clear up. Two dark haired men hugged by the entrance of a door, and a woman appeared behind him, with light blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes. My mother.. I thought, and tugged on Harry's hand. I wanted to get closer.
The woman with the blonde hair had a small child stuck to her leg. A boy with bright blond hair and puffy cheeks. She was holding another child in her arms, a blonde girl in a bright pink dress who was trying to squirm away. She also had bright pink puffy cheeks.
"Ruby," Another woman came into the room with red hair, and greeted my mother. She smiled at the two children. "How are you?"
"It's your mother.." I whispered to Harry, and he nodded in agreement. I smiled, and we continued to watch the women talk.
"I'm good," my mother said. "Where's Harry?" She held the little boy's hand and they walked farther down the hallway.
"Playing... James was supposed to watch over him, of course.." Lily Potter said and peeked her head over the door frame. She walked away into another room, with my mother steps behind her. I pulled on Harry's hand, and we followed my mother into the room. It was a fairly large sized rooms, with toys scattered in the midst of the furniture. James and Sirius were seated on the couch, and there was an empty chair with a footstool on the other side of the room.
Then, baby Harry Potter zoomed into the room on his toy broomstick, flying and zipping around. Baby 'Me' started giggling and laughing, and making cute baby noises. Harry and I were laughing so hard, I was seriously about to cry. I held on to Harry's arm with both of my hands, and continued smiling as the baby Harry flew around. I rested my head on Harry's shoulder.
Being the short person I was, I could just reach my chin up to his shoulder. Baby Lexa started reaching out each time Harry zipped by, and whimpered every time he left. I turned to face Harry as we were laughing, and I leaned forward and kissed him.
On the lips.
And guess what? This time, it actually worked.
