Chapter 13

Janet was awfully jumpy when we entered into our English class.

"Janet can you please tell me why you're so jumpy?" I asked as I sat next to her.

She turned to me with her eyes filled with excitement. "We're going to read a new book!"

I sat there dumbfounded. What? Is she serious? "You're happy about that?"

"Well yeah. I like reading."

"Wow first person I know who likes reading." I smiled.

The bell rang which ended our conversation.

Just then Mr. Casanos walked in the room. He looked like a man in this late twenties early thirties. He was a bald man who seems nice and calm but can cause havoc if pushed to the limit.

"Okay class, shall we begin?" He asked dropping his stuff down on a chair and taking a box out. "In this box are some books that I picked up. I don't know what I got so let's find out together." He started giving random ones to students. He stopped at me. "And you are?"

"Aislinn Dugar, sir. I'm new here." I smiled sheepishly.

He shrugged, "Well welcome to my class." He pulled out a booklet, "Here ya go. Enjoy."

I looked at the book, Night Elie Wiesel. "Never heard of it."

"Okay now class I want you to go find your group." Said the teacher.

I got up and looked around to see if anyone else had the blue and white colored book. I noticed Janet had the same book. I sighed in relief. Atlease someone I know will be in my group.

"Aislinn, over here." She called.

I sat down next to her. Infront of me was a boy. He had the same features as Lucifur. The only difference was the eye color and the hair color. His eyes were bluish-purple and his hair had a splotch of gold in the front of his black hair.

I just stared at him gaping. He looked so much like Lucifer I cant believe it!

"Oh Aislinn this is Damien. Damien this is Aislinn." Janet said casually.

I smiled. He did the same.

"So has anyone read it?" He asked.

"I haven't." I said flipping through the pages.

"Same here." He said looking at the back of the cover.

"You guys should really read more. This is such a tragic story. It's about a boy who goes through world war two and -" Janet got cutted off by Damien.

"Wow, don't go ruining it for us." He laughed.

Janet pouted, "Fine, so what are we going to do?"

"The teacher hasn't even told us yet." I sighed.

"Okay class, now that you're acquainted each group will have to write a five page essay on a theme from the book. Then you will have to present it to the class by the end of the month." He said looking at each group.

The bell rang. Class ended. I was half way out when I felt pressure on my upper arm. I turned around to see Janet.

"We're going to meet up after school today. You coming?" She asked.

"For the book right?" I asked.

She rolled her eyes and smiled, "Of course. So meet us at the school library?"

I nodded, "Sure."

I started walking towards the gym when Janet strolled right beside me. "I totally forgot we have this class together."

"That's right. Hey what are we gonna do today?" I asked.

"I think tennis."

I nodded, "Okay."

P.E. was fun. I didn't know I can play tennis really well. I just finished changing when Janet came up to me.

"So you're still coming to the library right?" She asked.

I shrugged, "Sure I got time."

"Okay then lets go!" She grabbed my wrist and led me down the corridors to see a door with 'Library' in big black letters.

She opened the door and Damien was inside reading the book our English teacher gave us. When we went to sit down he looked up and smiled.

"This is a sad story." He said going back to the book.

"Told you." Janet said.

I started to take out my book when Janet said there was no need for it. Today we were just going to see what theme to write about since Janet knew all of it. We decided to do inhumanity.

I left and went home.

When I got to my house Cassie jumped up into my arms.

"So you're feeling better then." I said.

She nodded then sneezed in my face. I would've been totally grossed out but what came out of her mouth wasn't spit but ice! Pure ice!

"Oopsie." She said and laughed.

I went to the kitchen and wiped my face. I took Cassie to my room and I instantly started to rummage through my stuff. I know I have one of the boys numbers. Maybe they know whats happening to Cassie.

After ten minutes of searching I let out an agitated sigh. No number. I turned to Cassie, she was playing with a small flicker of fire. I turned back around to start looking again but turned around. Fire!

"Holy crap Cassie don't move!" I ran towards her. Her face had confused written all over it.

I grabbed her and took her to the bathroom, turn the faucet on and threw the hand with the small flame under it. Instantly steam rose and a sizzling sound was made. I checked Cassie's hand to see no burns. I started to hyperventilate. Cassie was a princess of the elementals!
