Chapter Three

As I got to school, I went straight to my locker. When I got there, Crystal was waiting for me. She seems overly excited.

"Hey Zel!" she exclaimed.

"What's up, bestie?"

"I'm going on a date with Roman!"

"Awesome! You've liked him for a year now and he finally noticed you!"

"I wouldn't say a year," she said dreamily.

"But it was," I shook my head in amusement.

Crystal blushed.

"When's your date?" I asked.

"It's on Friday," she smiled.

"Have fun. Text me on that day so I can help you plan," I said.

"Help me plan? You mean listen to me go crazy so you can laugh at me?" she laughed.

"Pretty much," I laughed.

She shook her head and we both bid goodbye and went to our classes. On my way there, Bren saw me and he walked towards me. I ignored him when he called my name.

"Hazel! You can't ignore me forever!"

I continued on ignoring him. By now, the hall was already empty. All of a sudden, I felt somebody yank my arm. Then I came face to face with the number one asshole.

"What do you want?" I asked, annoyed.

"Tell me why you're ignoring me. Does it hurt you to just look at me? Or to just see me?" he asked.

"No. I just want to punch your face everytime I see you," I replied.

"Do it then! You always say that but you never do!" he yelled.

"Do you really want me to do that?" I asked, rolling my eyes.

"Leave her alone if you don't want to get hurt man," a voice said calmly.

I whipped my head in the direction the voice came from.

I saw the hot, cocky, annoyingly sexy, bad boy. I mean, "badass".

"Oh yeah? What are you going to do about it, huh?"

"Do you really wanna see what I would do?" Cameron asked raising an eyebrow.

"I wouldn't be scared of you, dick," Bren muttered.

"I didn't hear that. Say it again," Cameron said.

"Stay out of our problem," Bren said angrily.

"Let her go. Haven't your mom ever told you not to harm girls?"

"Says the guy that humps and dumps," Bren snarled.

"Let her go now or you'll be sorry."

"I wanna see what you can do," Bren said.

I stood there awkwardly while they were having a conversation. It seemed as if the tension has gottened more thick after Bren said that. If you had a knife, you could cut it.

I tried to yank my arm away from Bren's death grip, but it was too tight. I guess that's why they call it a death grip.

Cameron saw me struggling and he saw the cocky smirk on Bren's face, which pissed him off more. Before I knew it, Cameron threw a punch at Bren's face. He was unprepared for that blow and he let go of my hand. I kicked Bren's stomach afterwards. We totally forgot that it was on school campus.
