Chapter 2

• Chapter Two •

It was 5 o'clock I unpacked most of my stuff. As I got to the bottom of my bag, I quickly realised my mum had sneakily pack my posters for me, thank god, I was desperate to make this room look somewhat like home

Three big posters, a Green day Dookie one, an All Time Low Nothing Personal one and a Panic! At The Disco too weird to live to rare to die one. It's fair to say my mum knew me well, well done to most of the time anyway.

Just as I hung up my last poster, I heard a light knock on my door. "Come in" I said loud enough for who ever was at the door to hear. Pepper poked her head in the door "would you mind coming to see me in ten minutes at my office?" She said nicely, I nodded as I pressed the last corner of my poster to the wall. "Making it more homely I see" she said with a smile. "Yeah it's the best I could do" I replied "good, I'm glad" she smiled "ten minutes" she said closing the door.

I put away the last of my shoes and headed to the office. I sat down in the same place I did a few hours back. I folded my arms and crossed my right leg over my left and took in my surroundings. There was a lady at the desk tapping away at a key board quite contently. A few people walked in and out of offices, I watched them go by.

I felt someone sit on the chair to my right, I didn't bother to look up, instead just kept my eyes fixated on my lap. "New here huh?" The stranger asked.
"Uh.. Yeah.. That obvious" I said letting out a slight nervous laugh. "Nah. I know everyone here so I know the newbies" and with that I looked up a caught glimpse of a dark haired boy with an olive skin tone and big hazelnut eyes. He put his hand in front of me "Calum" he said smiling. "Bella" I said shaking his hand and smiling slightly.

"Calum?" A lady said walking out of her office. "That's me" he said pushing himself up from his chair. He walked a bit then spun round on his heals, "see ya around" he said continuing to walk backwards as I gave him a slight nod.

I heard heels making there was down from the corridor, I lifted my head to see Pepper smiling as she approached me.

"New friends I see" she said with a slight laugh, I gave her a faint smile "just some chit chat" I laughed as o followed her to her office for the second time today.

She sat at the same place she did earlier. "Settling in okay" she asked, I nodded "better than I thought actually" I laughed softly. "Chattier than this morning I see" she smiled. "I'm just going to give your time table and I'll be your guidance counsellor type thing" she said handing me a sheet of paper "any questions, come find me" she smiled

I glanced at the paper, therapy. "Therapy?" I asked "I've never needed therapy" I said. "Yeah you can choose, group or self" she said "it'll be really beneficial for you. Anxiety and panic attacks right?" She asked, I nodded "you'll see Sarah, nice girl" she smiled "well I better let you get back to making room homely" she chuckled before leading me to the door.

I clutched to the piece of paper as I headed for the elevator. As I got in the elevator and the doors were closing, I heard someone yell "hold the doors". I quickly pressed the button.  "Thanks" they said slightly out of breath and slouched over, hands on their thighs. He caught his breath and straightened up. It was the guy I was talking to less than 10 minutes ago Calum I'm sure his name was.

"Hi... Again" he said with a slight laugh "hi" I smiled back and focused my eyes back to the buttons. I pressed the 2nd floor button. I glanced at Calum as in to say what floor are you?. He nodded and said "me too". I stood back and focused my eyes on the doors. "Bella right?" He said trying to start a conversation. I nodded and cocked my head slightly "Calum?". He laughed "yep. I'm surprised I remembered, I'm not great with names". I smiled and looked to the floor "yeah me neither".

We stayed in a comfortable/awkward silence till the elevator reached our floor. Calum motioned for me to walk In front, "thanks" I slightly whispered. He nodded "I'll see you at dinner then yeah?" he said stopping at his door. I turned to him "yeah I guess I will" I smiled and carried on to my room.
