Chapter Six ~ The Boat Ride

Walking side by side we enter the park together. We walk through the garden bits first, I admire the gardens, I see someone with a canvas painting the flower bed. Families are having pinics, reminds me of my used to be family.

"Chiyo?" Natsume asks looking over to me and bringing me back to reality, I turn to him and say "I'm fine"

We walk for a while until we reach the main park of the park.

"Want to ride the train first?" Natsume asks

I blink twice "H-How childish!" I blush. Does he think I'm a little child?!

He laughs and pushes my back towards the train line "Come on!"

"Eh?!"

I sit opposite Natsume on the train in our own personal little carriage. I sit with a blank expression, I don't think I have ever done anything so childish.

"Cheer up! Trains are meant to be fun!" Natsume says placing his hands on his legs.

"For little children, I rather play on my ps3" I say sighing "Thanks for trying to cheer me up though"

"We are going to have to get to know each other better" He folds his arms "We have to have ice cream yet, feed the ducks and go on the boats before leaving"

My head goes down. How I am going to survive? Feeding ducks?!

"Sorry about this morning" Natsume continues

"It's fine r-really!" I say look back up to him.

"My cats Tsubaki and Azusa, do they make you miss Cho?"

I shake my head once "No. But I want Cho, he has always been my cat"

"We can collect him today if you want"

"My mother would never let me leave"

"What if she isn't at home?"

"We could try, I guess"

"The ride is finished"

"That was quick"

"Yeah, it always is when the time flies by"

"I see" I say

"One chocolate and one... What would you like Chiyo?" Natsume asks me as we stand at the ice cream van together ordering. I look up to Natsume and smile slightly "I'll have a vanilla please"

"One chocolate and one vanilla coming right up" The man says.

Me and Natsume step aside letting other people order as we wait for our ice creams. I guess ice creams aren't so bad, especially because it is getting hot and sunny.

"Here you go" The man says passing both ice creams to Natsume, Natsume passes me my ice cream and he pays the man.

Walking once again me and Natsume find a bench to sit on and we eat/lick our ice cream in peace.

Natsume starts rowing the boat as we sit there opposite each other. I watch him row, I had asked him a minute ago if he wanted to row but he said he wouldn't let me row for a single second, even if he got tired.

"So you like video games?"

"Yeah, mainly zombie games"

"Really, my company are designing a new zombie game, I can give you a sample if you want?"

"Really?! I would love to!" I say a bright smile now on my face as I am now excited to try the new game.

"I'll get it for you next week then"

"That means I need to collect my Ps3 and Cho" I say

"We can do that tonight"

"Yes"
