"What?"
"I... is there a reason why you didn't tell me?"
"I don't know, I didn't really think about it unless I had a nightmare or something, and when I did I pushed it away."
"Did anyone else know?"
"Cam did."
"That little bitch."
"Mom."
"I mean Alex."
"Mm, well, it was just almost anyway."
"Almost means you were lucky, it doesn't mean that it can't affect you."
"I don't even know where he is now, just forget about it."
"I can't just"-
"Well did you talk to anyone after it happened to you?"
"I... not for a few months."
"Did you ever have nightmares?"
"All the time. Back then, I mean. Kat, I'm so sorry."
"It's fine."
"Kat it's not. Would you like to talk to someone about it? Angela's always bragging about the therapists she has on speed dial, I can ask her for the number of a nice one."
"I don't know, can we just watch the show?"
She purses her lips like she'd like to talk about it more but reaches out and pets my hair lightly. "I started watching Grey's Anatomy, have you seen that?"
"I just started too, what episode are you on?"
