My eyes widened when they landed on him. How was he here?!
"Hi, Sydney - "
I didn't let him finish, rushing over and jumping on him, both of us falling to the ground, a mess of bodies.
"Luke! What are you doing here?! You said you wouldn't be back until next month!" I exclaimed as I squeezed his face between hands, my eyes searching his to make sure it really was my Luke right in front of me.
"We're on vacation this week and I decided to come visit," he smiled at me, pressing a light kiss to my cheek.
"Did you fly in?" I asked as we stood up, brushing the dirt from our pants.
"No, Syd, I drove from California to Massachusetts," he rolled his eyes playfully at me, squeezing my sides. "Of course I flew."
"You could have driven, it was a valid question!" I laughed, my eyes on his the whole time. I couldn't believe he was here.
"I'm so glad to be back with my girlfriend," he whispered, leaning forward so that our lips were close to meeting.
"And I'm glad to have my favorite boy back," I grinned, before his lips pressed up against mine for the first time in months.
