Gaara X Reader: Love Me

Chapter 18: Don't Die...

            "What? You mad that you got sliced a bit?" Temari teased Orochimaru. Orochimaru looked up at Temari. "You're a smart little thing..." Orochimaru said smirking. Temari put her fan in front of her.

            Gaara looked at me and walked to me. Gaara put his hand on my shoulder. I looked at him. "You're doing great." Gaara said to me. "Thanks, so are you." I said to Gaara, smiling. Gaara and I looked at Orochimaru.

          Orochimaru opened his mouth wide and a snake came out of it. "Ew..." I thought to myself. Two more came out. Then one more. Orochimaru closed his mouth and wiped away the snake slime.

          The four snakes lined up in front of Orochimaru. "Two snakes are poisonous, two snakes are not... Let's see which ones you get..." Orochimaru said with an evil grin on his face. I growled silently at Orochimaru. "I'll wipe that ugly grin off of you..." I thought in my mind.

         Orochimaru pointed at Gaara, then two of the snakes launched after him. "Gaara!" I yelled. The snakes were too fast to dodge and too fast for Gaara's sand to block. The snakes bit into Gaara's neck. Gaara yelled in pain. Gaara fell to the floor.

          "No!" I yelled, worried if those snakes were the poisonous ones. 'I-I'm fine... They w-weren't the poisonous o-ones..." Gaara said, struggling to talk. "Thank goodness." I said, relieved. Next, Orochimaru pointed to me and the snakes launched after me. "N-No!" Gaara yelled.

         Gaara grabbed the two snakes and ripped them off of his neck and threw them on the floor. I covered my face and closed my eyes, ready to get poisoned by the snakes. "Goodbye, Gaara, I love you..." I thought in my mind. All of a sudden, Gaara quickly stood up and ran to me.

        Gaara pushed me out of the snakes range and stood there. "Ah!" I yelled as I fell to the floor. I looked up at Gaara. Gaara turned to me and smiled. He mouthed, "I love you, (Y/N)..." My eyes widened and I blushed. The snakes bit Gaara on the neck. Gaara yelled in pain and fell to the ground. The snakes disappeared when the poison got to Gaara.

         "Gaara! No!" I yelled. I ran to him. I fell to my knees and put my hands on his chest. "Gaara...I love you too..." I said to him, tears falling down my face.

       I put my head on his chest and tears kept falling. Gaara opened his eyes slowly and weakly said, "(Y/N)...I w-won't die...I p-promise you that...I swear to protect y-you. Plus, I h-have...The title K-Kazekage to keep..." I took my head off Gaara's chest. "Thank you Gaara. I will try my best to save you." I said. I gasped.

      "W-What is I-It?" Gaara asked. "I just remembered that a long time ago, I have studied Medical Ninjutsu with Sakura. I'll try my best to heal you." I answered. "T-Thank you..." Gaara said. I took my hands off Gaara's chest and wiped my tears away. I rolled my sleeves up and put my hands over his neck where the snakes bit him.
