Waking up to birds chirping wasn't what I had planned. Didn't I come home after coming to the meadow? I didn't. Instead, I had fallen asleep on Peeta's chest. My ear is still pressed up against where his heart beats steadily.

Ever since Peeta had died for five minutes in the arena, I've always seemed to be worried. Instantly making sure he was alive. That his heart still beats everyday and won't stop.

Peeta still seems to be asleep as I am awake. My eyes still squint to take in the surroundings of what is known as the Meadow. The place that holds too much memories to count.

Now, it holds an even more special memory. One I'm begging to continue happening over and over. A memory that has a kiss in place. This kiss was with Peeta and I normally. Still, sparks had flown but we were alone.

Both of us truly happy and safe. Safe from the games. Our own happiness came from each other. We are both alive and well. Healthy too. Even though Peeta still have his moments, I have mine too.

Nightmares that haunt me every time I fall asleep. It seems that being with Peeta is my cure. The cure to help the nightmares not come. Keep them away from my head.

Just as I get my nightmares, Peeta has his flashbacks. The ones Snow had given him to hurt me. Well it worked. Peeta hasn't had a flashback in a while. He's been doing good with his medicine, unlike me, and has been keeping calm. Keeping calm has been the most important thing for Peeta to do.

I stare at Peeta as he starts to mumble. Not knowing if it's something good or bad he is speaking. Either way, he starts to thrash around. Just like I do when I have my nightmares.

Squeezing his hand tighter than I already am, I start speaking.

"Peeta, it's okay." I calmly say.

Peeta's mumbles turns to scolds.

"Stay away from her!" And than those scolds turn to yells.

"Katniss! No!" He cries out.

"Peeta! Wake up it's only a dream!" I cry back.

Tears sting my eyes as I am hurt of seeing him this way.

Peeta finally awakes gasping. "What the-"

He takes a slow look around before his blue eyes find mine. Peeta's breathing comes back to normal and tears still fall down his face though.

I pull him into a hug. "It's okay."

"No it isn't. Y-You were d-dead." He stutters against my shoulder.

"Shh I'm alive. Right here and right now. I'm not gonna leave you. Ever." I soothing say.

"P-promise?" Peeta asks me.

"I promise." I smile into his shoulder. "It was only a dream."

"Your alive, real or not real?" He questions that same old game we played during war.

"Real." I simply say.

"Your not leaving me, real or not real?" Peeta asks.

"Real." I say again.

He sighs. "The dream was real, real or not real?"

"Not real. Never real." I softly kiss his forehead.

That's when Peeta smirks. "We kissed last night."

I give out a smug laugh. "Real."

"Katniss?" He asks me.

"Peeta." I mock him.

Peeta chuckles. "Will you in be my uh girlfriend?"

"I will um  love to uh ya know, be your um girlfriend." I laugh.

"Really?" His eyes glisten.

"Really." I repeat. "Only if your my boyfriend."

"I guess that's okay." Peeta pulls me into his arms now.

Soon enough we are both leaning in and or lips finally lock together. Fireworks fly all around us as we kiss. My hands curl into his blonde hair is his hands cup my face.

I know the that we both don't want to pull away, and Peeta seems to think so too. Cause soon we both pull away, leaning our foreheads together. I stare into his blue eyes as he stares into my grey ones.

"We should probably get back." Peeta sighs.

"Yeah Haymitch will over worry if we aren't back soon." I agree.

"True." My boyfriend stands before reaching a hand down to help me up.

"Thanks." I smile up at him.

Peeta is still a head taller than me. It's nice kind of to have him not too tall. Gale was always taller. I would always have to crook my neck to look up at him.

My now boyfriend sends me a smile back as our hands intertwine again. He squeezes my hand in a happier way. I'm happier too. Finally, we make it to the fence that still stands.

"Thank you. For showing me that place. I would love to draw it." Peeta thanks me.

"Your welcome. Maybe one day you can. And I have another place to show you in deep summer." I explain.

"Of course you do." He pecks my forehead.

I smile as we make our way towards our home. A thought comes into mine. Two actually. One about how to tell Peeta about Delly and the other about the bakery.

"How's the bakery coming?" I ask him.

Peeta shrugs. "Don't know. Thom is supposed to tell me when it's getting built."

"That's good." I smile truthfully.

"But that's bad." Peeta says as he points towards the walkway leading to our houses.

There are at least twenty officers each taking notes on note pads. Some are walking in and out of houses as others walk outside. Haymitch is talking with the head officer.

"Told you Haymitch over worries." I mutter under my breath.

"Katniss! Peeta!" Haymitch shouts as he takes notice of us.

"What is happening?" Peeta says rather harshly.

"Oh nothing." He tells us. "Clear away! I found them!"

I roll my eyes. "Well I'm going home."

"Me too." Peeta adds.

"Fine but we talk first thing in the morning. About everything." Haymitch gruffly responds.

I smile at him sarcastically before walking off. An idea pops through my head. Turning to Peeta, I ask him the one question I came up in mind.

"Move in with me." I state.

"What?" His eyes widen.

"Move in with me." I repeat.

"I heard you. But coming from the Katniss Everdeen? That's something new." Peeta chuckles.

"I know but you help me with my nightmares. Won't it be easier if your just a room a few rooms down?" I ask.

A huge smile forms on his face. "Yes. Yes I will move in."

"Yay!" I laugh. "You can move in after the talk with Haymitch tomorrow."

"Great." Peeta smiles.

I smile back hoping tomorrow comes sooner than it already is.
