"Wake up!" my mama called. I slowly rose out of bed, and started dragging my body down the hall. Today is the first day at my new school and my mom wants me to make the best of it. I don't really care about it though. The school is some sort of school for people with special abilities. I don't think I am anything close to special. Neither does my sister. She is always annoying me.

"Are you coming?" my mama yelled.

"Yes mama!" I replied. I scampered down the stairs.

"Surprise!" I jumped in fright. Of course! I am having my going away party and my parents made my favorite traditional Russian meal, Zakuski.

"Excited for your new school?" my papa asked.

"Not as excited as I am for this Zakuski." I replied fast. My family and I ate and then I left for my new school. One of the school's guards came and picked me up in a limousine. I wasn't expecting it but, I took the generous offer. Soon I was escorted into a large grand entry hallway. It was very bright and elegant almost like a castle. There were picture frames hanging on the walls of people. You would think they would be happy to have their picture taken and hung in this pulchritudinous immense hallway but, there faces were dull. They all looked so important and scary. The painted portraits stared straight into the hallway. Well, isn't that what all paintings do? I had a feeling this wasn't going to be a normal year. I kept on walking down the hallway until I came to a very menacing dark door. I slowly opened the heavy door. A bright dining hall caught my eyes. Kids, like me, everywhere. Everyone was happy.
