"Gryffindors! Keep up! This way please!" One of our prefects yelled at us from the end of the staircase.
"So, why exactly are we going outside?" I ask Hermione who was following closely behind.
"I don't know, maybe something to do with the tournament?" She replies.
"Oh, yeah, didn't think about that..." I exclaimed in realization.
I push my dark fringe out of my eyes as I almost trip on stair due to my lack of sight and the speed that I had to walk to keep up with my house.
"Why are we in such a rush? Why can't we just walk!" Ron complains on my left.
"Because, Ronald, if you were paying attention, you would know that we are well behind everybody else in our house!" Hermione yells rather roughly at him.
"But I was hungry..." He mumbles quietly. Hermione just sighs in response.
It was true though. Ron just had to have a drooble, so he made us wait so that he could fetch one from his dormitory.
Once we finally reach the rest of our house outside everyone was already lined up with the rest of the houses so we just stood in the back.
"Woah, guys, look." Harry says from my left, and I almost forgot he was there to be quite honest, he didn't say anything the whole "run" here.
My eyes follow his finger which was pointing towards the sky.
As it got closer I heard Hagrid from somewhere shouting, "Clear the runway!" The crowd moves back as told.
In the sky, I can see four horses flying through the air whilst pulling a carriage. When it finally reaches the Hogwarts courtyard it lands softly on the grass. Everyone cheers.
"Well there's something you don't see every day," Harry remarks as a large ship emerges from under the water of the black lake.
"Yeah..." I manage to say as I look up in awe at the massive boat.
"Now we're all settled in and sorted, I'd like to make an announcement. This castle will not only be your home, but home to some very special guests as well. You see, as you all know, Hogwarts has been chosen..." Dumbledore starts before he is interrupted by Mr. Filch running down the Great Hall in a rather comical way. He whispers something to Dumbledore and then leaves in the same weird, limping/running fashion.
"So Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event. The Tri-Wizard tournament. The tri-wizard tournament brings together three schools for a series of magical contests. From each school, a single contestant is selected to compete. So I invite you all to please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of magic, and their headmistress Madam Maxime." He states and then the Great Hall doors open once more.
A group of beautiful girls dressed in blue, dance up the aisle and release butterflies into the air. Wow, cliche much. This isn't a Disney movie... (You can thank Uncle Remus for that... Something about how Muggles are so magical even though they're not.... I don't know.) They bow and everyone, well, at least the boys, applaud.
I even caught George in the corner of my eyes staring at the, what looks like the head girl's, bum. Thankfully he was sitting directly in front of me so he received a well-deserved kick in the shin for that. After that, he didn't dare look at them again. That or he was too busy cradling his now injured leg...
"Blimey, that's one big woman." I hear Seamus say a couple of seats down to my right. I nod in agreement even though he probably can't see.
"And now our friends from the north, please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang and the high master Igor Karkaroff," Dumbledore announces as the door open once more.
