LaMira Jean POV
"Hey mom do you mind if I go out with a few friends tonight since we leave tomorrow?" Me and my mom are moving to God knows where for my mom's job.
"Have you finished packing the boxes and your suitcase for the trip? You know we aren't flying and you'll have to drive behind me. So pack lightly, but not too lightly, so you can see through the back window okay?" Why does she always feel the need to tell me this when she's told me at least ten times already...
"Yeah mom. I've got that all under control. Actually I've already packed my car and made sure I could see. So can I go?"
"How are your eyebrows looking? Do I need to Do them again before we leave?" God I love her!
"Oh, would you please! I didn't want to worry you anymore than you already are, but I've needed them don't since last week." My mom did my eyebrows about two weeks ago and the hairs finally started growing in again.
"When do you plan to come home so I can do them? Or do you just want me to do them in the morning before we leave? You know we're leaving at 10 o'clock right?" What is with the 21 questions today?
"Yeah mom I know. And yeah could you do them in the morning? I won't be home til around 2 in the morning. Is that okay?" Sometimes she gets a little strict with me when something important is happening.
"Yeah hun that's fine. Just please don't come in too late." I love you so much Marissa Jean.
"When exactly is too late Mom?" This is the best answer every time.
"When you're pregnant!"
As we sit in the kitchen laughing and waiting for my friends to pick me up for the night, I decide to ask the question I've waited to ask for years in fear for my mother's reply.
"Mom?"
"Yeah svetlyak?"
"I just feel that now that I'm 17 and will be 18 in a few short months that I should.... I guess what I'm saying is..." I just could not get the words.
"Spit it out svet---" I had to interupt her before I lost my courage to ask her.
"Why dont you talk about my father?" I had to take a breather as I said that all as one word.
"Hmmm interesting.... Say it again."
As I went to take a breath to say it again exactly how I said it last time she interrupted me Just before I breathed out. So I sat there looking like a blowfish for like four seconds.
"Please say it slower."
I released that breath I was holding and asked more calmly than I did before "Why don't you talk about my father?"
My mother's eyes widened a bit and she tensed for a second. Then She relaxed and let out a sigh. "I knew this conversation was coming I just hoped it wasn't going to be just yet."
"... Well? Are you going to tell me?"
"I'm sure he would be so in love with you right now. But anyway, I'm going to tell you the whole story but just not yet."
"What do you mean 'not yet' ?"
"You're friends are here and it's a long conversation. I don't wanna waste your time wi---" And the bell rang signaling that she was right.
"Mommy dearest this isn't over." I said As I ponted my index finger and middle finger at my eyes and then at her eyes. "I've got my eyes on this convo!"
My mother laughed and did it back. "I've got my eyes on those eyebrows!"
I gasped, covered my eyebrows, and ran out the door grabbing my house keys and purse As I left. "I love you mommy! I won't be too late I promise!" I yelled to my mom who had already started cleaning the kitchen some more.
"I love you too svetlyak! Don't do anything I wouldn't do!"
"Okay mom! Hasta luego." And that was my cue to leave just as Monica found the spare key and entered into my house.
"Bitch what the fuck is taking you so long!" Monica said as she gave my mother a huge hug and walked right past me.
"Oh yeah that's great. You barge into my home, call me a bitch, and give my mom a bigger hug than you've ever given me."I playfully roll my eyes at my sister, well best friend actually.
"Hey don't blame me! You know better than to let me get past the porch steps. How many times have I told you? If I make it up the first two-"
"- then it's too far to turn back. Yeah yeah yeah I know."
"Exactly now get that cute ass out the door this your last night here!" She exclaims waving her hands in air and walking out the door.
" See ya later alligator!" I say to my mom as I back out the door.
"In awhile crocodile!" And I'm off to do God knows what.
§§§§§§§§§§
"This is not a small get together! This isn't even a house?!" I shouted as I looked out of Monica's car window.
"Well I figured your last day here with us why not surprise you with something you've wanted to do since forever!"
"Yeah but how are we even going to get in?"
"I got fake ID's made for us."
"Oh my God I love you so much!" I said while hugging her.
"I love you too hermana! Lets go this strip club doesn't stay open all night. How long did mom give you?" She said getting out of the car.
"Til two. When does it close?"
"Perfect. It closed at three."
"Sweet. Where's everyone else?"
"They're already in there."
And so we walked in like the bosses we are. When we got to the bouncer I couldn't help but notice how his eyes seemed to be trained on Monica. He wasn't bad look and of he has taken an interest in Monica, then he most certainly has good taste too. I smiled, waved, handed him my fake ID, and then stood behind him to wait for Monica.
"Hello miss." The bouncer said to Monica. He seriously can't stop looking at her! Good thing she's 18.
"Hey big boy. How you doing?" Monica said getting dangerously close to this guy.
"Better now that I get to look at you." Mom's pulled out her fake ID and whispered something in his ear I didn't catch. Then she sashayed her way to me.
"That's my boyfriend. He's 17 but got a fake ID like us and for a good job. He's Jakob, the one I've been saying I'm dating for 3 months now." I had a confused face causing her to have to explain.
"Why am I just now meeting him?! I honestly thought he was fake." I said nonchalantly.
"As fake as these ID's?"
"Ha Ha aren't you a funny."
And enter the strip club we did.
