I stare at his sleeping form. He looks so peaceful. He doesn't normally look so peaceful, normally he looks angry. Or tired. Or a mix of the two. But he looks really peaceful now... next to her.
It's no big deal.
I think we're "friends." Well, I think I'm friends with him, he might not be friends with me anymore. Who would want to be friends with someone like me? You can't even have a decent conversation with me.
"What are you doing?" I hear a high, soft pitch voice. She sounds scared.
I stare at her. I smile slightly. She seems even more panicked.
She taps his shoulder, he stirs slightly, "What?" he says. He seems angry like he always does when he wakes up.
She points at me and he rolls his eyes and rolls over, "That's my roommate."
She smiles slightly, "Uh.. Why's he in here?"
He shrugs, "He wonders around the house like a ghost. He doesn't talk much, so don't even try."
She nods, "Um. Could you leave?" I nod to her and leave closing the door behind me.
I lean against the wall, my ear pressed up against the wall to hear what they're saying.
"He's creepy. You should move out," she says.
"Too much trouble."
"Still. Who would want to live with someone that doesn't respect other people's space?"
"It's no big deal. I'm already planning on moving out soon. I just don't have the money, yet."
He's... leaving? He's leaving, he's leaving, he's leaving. Calm down, it's okay. Just calm down.
"Oh that's good. If you wanted, you could come live with me."
There's rustling sounds.
"Aww. Babe, come on,"
"No. I want my own place."
"Why not move in with me?"
"Because the purpose of leaving here is so that I can be alone and not have some annoying person roaming around the house and me in general. I want somewhere I can just be alone."
Oh. He wants to be alone. I can't believe I didn't understand that. I stand up still leaning against the wall, just with my back instead of my side.
I walk over to my room and grab my coat, pulling it on and zipping it up. I think I should just 'creep' away from home for the rest of the day. After all, he wants to be alone.
I grab my wallet and slip on my boots, before walking downstairs. I grab my keys from the table and leave.
