Chapter 3 ~ Regrets

"That building right there?" Tom pointed. "I call that the penis building."

Jordan gave him a weird look. "Why's that? It doesn't look anything like that. It looks just like a normal building."

Tom laughed. "That's because, if you want to get into it, it's quite hard, as there is a long line." He said.

Jordan shook his head. "That was terrible."

Tom scoffed. "I'd like to see you try."

"I don't need to try. In fact, I'm going to be the bigger person here, and not argue with you on this." Jordan said, walking ahead of Tom.

Tom smirked and jogged up next to Jordan. "How do you know you're the bigger person?"

"Because I-" Jordan started to say. "Oh, shut up!" He said, speeding up.

Tom laughed, slowing down. "You passed the restaurant, but the way!" He yelled after Jordan.

He watched Jordan turn around, sigh, and stomp back. "Then stop turning everything I say into something so wrong!" He said, his face red with embarrassment.

"Can't promise that." Tom said, opening the door for Jordan to walk through. A waitress was standing at the doorway.

"Hi, how may I help you?" She asked, smiling widely, her lips practically dripping with gloss.

"Table for two please." Tom said.

"Follow me." The waitress said, walking into the restaurant, and led the two to a table by a window. "Here are your menus, someone will be with you shortly."

Tom opened his menu, knowing exactly what to pick, but he liked looking though all the things he could try later on.

"What are you getting?" He asked Jordan.

"Just a salad and fries." Jordan said, not even touching his menu.

Tom snorted. "Are you some girl on a diet? Only a salad?" He asked.

Jordan glared at him. "I happen to like salads."

Tom held up his hands in defeat. "Okay, just sayin'."

A waiter came and took their orders, leaving the two to talk again while waiting for their food to arrive.

Tom spoke up. "Are you planning to do anything while you're here?" He asked.

Jordan shrugged and said, "I don't know yet. It seems like a nice place, but... I don't like loud, crowded places." Tom nodded, grinning evilly. Jordan noticed. "What are you smiling about over there?" He asked.

Tom shrugged. "Nothing."

Jordan raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"

"Something you probably won't approve of." Tom said, absently stirring his drink.

"And what would that be?" Jordan asked.

"I was just thinking that if I ever happen to take you out on a date, we'd go to the library and watch science documentaries."

Jordan's face heated up. "I'm not that boring! I can be fun." He said, frowning.

"Like you are now?" Tom asked, smirking at Jordan's embarrassment. He decided to make a game out of it. "Has anyone ever told you that you're cute when you're flustered?" Tom laughed.

"Stop it!" Jordan said, burying his face in his arms. Just then the waiter came by with their food.

The waiter glanced at Jordan, who was still fuming into the table, and glanced at Tom. "Is he okay?" He asked.
