"Out of the way!"

Marco Diaz squeezed his way through the crowded sidewalk of the busy streets of Echo Creek. He stated quick, half-hearted apologies as he shoved people away from his route. Earlier today, the brunette decided to take an afternoon nap, but not before setting the alarm clock so he wouldn't be late for his weekly Saturday night routine. Watching the Butterfly's play. But in some way, Marco found himself waking up an hour after the play started, his annoying, fun-loving roommate, Ferguson, must've set off his alarm while he was sleeping, whilst he ended up running late to the theater.

It's not that he particularly liked plays, he even thought that the production managers where in some way mean, but the main purpose of his visits was to see the literal star of the play. Star Butterfly.

Just the mere mention of her name made his heart beat out of his chest. But what would Marco have that she wanted? She was the main protagonist of a theater that lets people witness a new play at 8:30 every night on a Saturday. He was just an everyday average guy, what chance did he have? But that didn't mean he couldn't watch her take the spotlight on the huge stage that her wealthy parents owned.

And so, he slammed the entrance open, catching the attention from a few people sitting at the back row. He laughed nervously and quietly muttered a sorry as he made his way to a vacant seat.

"I'd be glad, milady." The man dressed as a prince said, bowing gracefully at Star.

She smiled. A smile Marco could tell was fake, he had seen the girl smile a million times before. And her usual smile could brighten up a dull day. He eyed the male actor suspiciously. The man kissed the back of Star's hand and the huge, velvet red curtains closed right after. The audience stood up and applauded.

Marco's eye twitched in annoyance. He barely watched 30 seconds of the play and it already finished just like that. The sirens that ran all over the brunette's mind blurred the sounds of their standing ovation.

Everybody else exited the theater. Some went straight home, the others went to the dressing rooms to congratulate the actors for another job well done.

As for Marco, he remained seated, feeling exhausted. A little hope still ignited inside of him. Yes, he didn't get to watch the whole play, he didn't get to see Star's amazing efforts on performing her role but at least he got to see her.

He sighed, looking at the stage. He dug his hand in the inside pocket of his ebony jacket and fished out a rose. There was no way he could give it to Star with all the people that visited in that dressing room of hers. So why did he bring it anyway?

Oh yeah, that's right. He wanted to meet her up close, and probably get to know her better. All that internet stalking about her didn't even mention how she would act without the spotlight.

Sighing again, he trudged to the exit, and gripped the handle tightly. Ferguson was going to get a handful of scolds later on. The brunette opened the door and continued to walk home with his head down and his shoulders slumped.

After all the jibber-jabber and praise from her adoring fans, Star entered her room, not surprised to see a ton of large bouquets resting on and around her dresser. She walked over and moved them away, looking at her reflection in the mirror. The blonde was exhausted. She had bags under her eyes, her skin was pale and her hair was a dirty mess. But for some reason she managed to pull the look off.
